If you were to allow stats to go 90+ you'd see some real issues online with players who are too overpowered
This is a good idea but I feel it would be too rewarding for those who start the game off compared to those who work and play those games to get more points to have a better build like in the past I liked that system but it wasn't the greatest.

I was reading the ask NHL questions yesterday on Twitter and someone had asked about the eashl attributes system and they had an answer back from them about how the custom builds were too over powered and most of the attributes were used more than the others and the way they answered sounded like the custom builds won't be back
And they shouldn't be brought back. In the old system they got exploited and no matter how you guys suggest to add it back, it'll get exploited again. This system is fair for all players, takes more skill and teamwork to make plays rather than a 5'7 grinder doing it all. The community should be appreciating the new system. But as always, we need something to complain and bitch about, no matter how good the game is or ever will be.
Exactly. Everything was exploited and people had unheard of mixes of builds that just didn't make sense. I still think they should do something like the generic builds but have the accomplishments like scoring 5 goals could get your shot points up or something different like that. Something to where it's rewarding but something you can't exploit
It's because of shooting-stick check-puck control attributes. They have never ever ever tuned these properly. If you can pick corners with base shooting why put points in it? Therefore everyone would fill everything else. As for stick checking and puck control......a month in the reasonable tuner set starts going and the elite pc starts. So the they crank up sc and its all fk'd. They always fuck up the tuners. The attributes themselves become irrelevant and the tuner is the true base. They need to increase the range of effectiveness per point and let nature take it's course. If you see a trend upward of X you SLIGHTLY nerf and vice versa. Also height and weight generally was way too fucked. Daniele Briere should never crush Chara but he should rarely be completely innefective as well
My buddy made fun of me for it post video, can't tell if its my accent or my pronunciation. For awhile I thought Untuchabl was telling me I had spelt it wrong...and made me paranoid.
Just sounds like someone to me who never played 09-12 - because builds only became exclusively broken when they fucked up grinder. I'm not strongly against preset anything, I just think without even minor customization you have a real lack of choice and unfortunately almost limits how you can play in certain aspects. Sure, in the past some attributes didn't work as well as others - but that sounds more like a game development or slider issue over anything being wrong with the system put in place.
