The limited number of people playing in the cuts events is always disheartening. I know people avoid these events because of the constraints on when you're able to play, and I understand that. I'd like to know if you all would rather kill the weekly cuts event and put a "normal" event in its place. In addition to casting your vote in this poll, PLEASE make a post with your thoughts (i.e. suggestions for what we could use to replace the cuts events if we were to eliminate them). Thanks.
I have voted to keep the cuts events, I would however suggest maybe changing the start day to Friday to minimise days that you are entered into 2 events and therefore freeing up space for extra events. Rhino
I'd like to hear some thoughts on this. Would more of you be inclined to play in the cuts events if the days were changed to Friday - Monday? I despise playing in these events when there are only 4 people who make the cut, but it would be FANTASTIC if we could somehow get 20+ players in the cuts events.
Cuts I to like cuts, even though I never make it. I also agree, that the start shoulb be moved. I vote for mondays, since it is the only date without an event.
I voted to keep it. fri-mon would be fine either way its still quite a bit of golf to play. I would rather see those that just play Int move to Adv and ditch the Int. tour all together!!! I doubt you will attract 20 for cuts in Int as we aren't gettiing that many in the Main Event. Most are concentrating on Beg or Adv leaving a very small group for Int. This was the reason I ended both the other tours I have ran or helped run. Just gets kind of disheartening taking the time to get so little participation. I also agree with slap that it is almost completely senseless to play in cuts when only 4 are moving on to the 3rd and 4th round.
Man, I wish that could happen. As someone who's only played a handful of rounds on intermediate and no rounds on beginner, I'll never understand the appeal of anything other than advanced. The essence of this game's beauty lies in the absence of any kind of power meter, and therefore having to swing based on feel and repetition. If we could somehow convince all intermediate golfers to make the switch, this league (and the Links community) would be so much stronger.
I haven't played in any cut events only do to time constraint. Therefore I did not cast a vote. Oh and I play INT. and ADV. but only the Mains & Flhts. So if the INT was to go I guess I could swing in the ADV cuts.
i voted to keep the cuts and just like couty i don't make the cut but it is fun playing and trying to do my best up against you big guns lol changing the time slot would be ok with me too.
