Fast Break "Cherry Picking" Rule

Over the last few seasons we have come to find that a majority of our members here would rather have a sim basketball experience instead of the typical random team up game experience. The biggest violator of this idea is the fastbreak or "cherry picking".

We won't be introducing a no fastbreak rule but we will be enforcing that teams may not use this as an every possession tactic.

The rule will play out like this:

• You may only leak out after your team has rebounded the ball. You may not start to run downcourt while the ball is still in the air.
• You may leak out after missed free throws. You're opponent is standing right next to you. If he doesn't follow you from a standing dead ball possession that is on him.
• An occasional leak out may happen from time to time as it would in the real nba. We will not punish 3-4 leakouts a game. You still have a responsibility as a player to pay attention to what is happening in the game.
• Video evidence must be provided for any disciplinary action to take place.
• If we have multiple complaints about the same team/player(s) than we will not need video evidence.

This is aimed at not killing fast breaks but to not allow players to ruin what is supposed to be an enjoyable experience for all. If you want to complain about this and want change you need to offer up something, not just tell people to get back and it's dumb. If you think it's dumb you can find a new league. This is the direction we are going, I know a certain set of players will not agree with it but there are other leagues out there that don't care how you play. We do, we want sim basketball.

 

Also guys a complain during scouting games has been charges. Charges are only allowed inside the 3 point line.

You guys are expected to inform people during or after scout games that this type of offense is against league policy and abuse of it will cost them and possibly the team once the season begins

The hop step is OP but its so much fun in My Team with KD
