Like MP, I absolutely loathe soccer. Never cared for it growing up, never had any desire to play it, and would rather watch a test pattern on TV instead of watching it.

That said, EA's FIFA series has always held my attention. Sure, alot of games end 1-0, but it's great fun trying to work the ball and get a goal... you really feel like you did something when you score.

I've played 3 games so far against the computer... all with me being a top rated International team, playing against a low level league team. Even on the 2nd to easiest setting, they're giving me a challenge. Only on the lowest difficulty and I able to score more than 1 or 2 goals per game, but I'm sure that will improve with time.

i;m in. Too bad Pro Evolution Soccer 4 isn't coming out in North America. That is hands down betetr than Fifa. But if Fifa is the only choice i'll go with that too.

It is, come next March, and none of us want to wait that long if FIFA is halfway decent. So unless FIFA sucks, I would say don't count on us using it for the first season.

2 countries in the world call in soccer....US and Canada....The rest of the world calls it football....and if you really think about it, in american football you only use your feet to kick fg's and punting. As in "soccer" thats all you use, your feet.

Obviously you have never played a soccer game on a Video Game System. It is a ton of fun. I do have to admit that i would rather play Britney's Dance Beat than watch a real life Soccer match on TV, but Fifa is fun - when you score you actually feel like you have accomplished something. Anyways, I still think we should call the game SOCCER - not football. This is freakin North America for gosh sakes!! We all grew up calling it Soccer

    Or maybe both?

Jon played the game and said it was fun so I semi-interested. Not to mention, if I purchase FIFA I can get March Madness for free.

Those "grass fairies" you speak of are probably among some of the best conditioned athletes in the world
