LGMFL-Twitch Discussion

We would like to incorporate twitch in LGMFL to boost exposure to our league. All playoff games will be a mandatory twitch games. A few ideas we have came up with for the regular season games are....

1.All primetime games (Sunday night,Monday night,and Thursday night) will be streamed by the home team
2.Everyone will have to twitch at lease 5 games a season(one person twitch per game)
3.every game be twitched by the home team

These are just a few ideas that are being tossed around. We would like to hear your ideas also and /or comment on what we have came up with so far.

 

I like the idea of streaming the primetime games. In the beginning they're gonna be pretty random, but as time goes on it'll be cool to feature some of the better/more successful teams.

I don't even think my internet is good enough to stream on Twitch tbh. I've been thinking about upgrading but I doubt it'll help.

It's a really cool idea though, especially for playoff games. It'd be good to watch some of the more important games later on in the season though.

 

i think both teams should be required to stream because you will be able to see which plays people are running. not fair if people aren't streaming.

 

Requiring both teams to stream is unrealistic. Not everyone has the speeds to be able to do it and I'm not about to compromise the quality of gameplay for it.

 

i agree but if somebody streams 5 times in one season then another player streams 0 it is a bit unfair to the people who pay for their internet that they can be scouted while others cant. if your streaming everyone watching can see your playart

 

No reason to be a bitch about it. TWC has my area locked down (read zero competitors) with horrible service for horrible price. Not really interested in getting raped by my ISP to please you for scouting purposes. Statistics alone give you a good idea on how someone plays.

I'll drop out of the league. Couldn't stream 2k without lagging horribly, but maybe that's just 2k.

 

No one is dropping bc they can't stream. There are a few other guys that can't get the speeds they want in their area. I just want the ppl that can stream to do it when possible. Not a big deal

Don't be scared that somebody is going to scout you using twitch. Come on. It's a fun way to get everyone in the league hyped and to be able to see big games. We did it before in our GM connected last year and there was no problems with it.

 

I'm willing to stream any of my games if it allows me to without lagging. I don't really see people taking notes on how you play that big of an issue. It's not that hard to make changes to your game plan from game to game anyway which I already do.

 

I've never heard of streaming/twitch causing lag on the XB1. On the 360, you would lag when you streamed but this app seems to work really well. If anyone wants to test out their stream in an unranked game after the game comes out, hmu and we can see if you're lagging.

 

Yeah I haven't had any problems with it at all so most likely I'll voluntarily stream every game I play as long as people want to watch.

 

I streamed all of my M25 cfm league games and I was fine. I have allittle bit above average up/down speeds... You should be able to talk to ur opponent and see who streams.

I can tell you first hand that streaming lags the game. Whenever I play a game online while streaming I will experience a delay, which is immediately fixed when I turn the stream off. I tried it in a 1v1 game of Madden 25 and both sides experienced the same delay while the stream was on. I havent tried it with 15 yet but I'm willing to give it a shot. Although, if the lag is giving me a disadvantage I dont want to risk my success in games, or make it less fun to play while dealing with lag frustration in a game that requires timing.

 

This thread was put up for a discussion. Nowhere did anyone say that you HAD to stream or anything like that. The streaming feature is a big part of LG moving to the XB1 and Tris is looking for all leagues (not just us) to stream as much as possible. If you don't have the internet to stream, no big deal. Macay's opinion on the matter was his opinion, not mine. I just want those who CAN stream, to do stream their games when possible.

 

turn your quality to low. not like we need a hd stream or anything.
