• Updated goalie logic for softer shots on net so that they look to pick it up rather than make a save. ^^ this is the only one that would piss me off. Play gets broken up or a pass halfway intercepted...puck trickles in at 1mph as your goalie does a split lol.
Looking at this "glass half full", I'm glad they are not dumbing down the defense even more when the puck is deep in our zone. They have done this through patch previously, not positive which patch but it is described on the EA site. Overall, about the only thing I can look forward to is that new sc stingrays jersey. Will have to see this new lobby system. Adding yet another step to get a game on instead of taking a step back and give us the 12 man from nhl 16 must make sense to EA. That, or they have the biggest ego ever and can't just say "ooops, our bad".
They're saving that for nhl 18 new features. "19 new and improved animations!" "Seamless puck pickups 2.0!". and that will be the things different from 17 to 18
Thanks EA ! - Goalies *Let's hope your "patches" won't make it worse so you can get a "new" game out next year by fixing what should have been fixed BEFORE the previous game was released. * Sorry for that
Soooooo on the topic of making things worse.... Do you think goalies are in a worse state than before the patch now with all of these bugs coming back? Did you notice the fix where they supposedly solved the issue of that "stuck" feeling on one-timers where you can't move?
As far as intended game play changes go, I like what they added. But the glitches are worse. You can't even shoot the puck without getting glitched half the time. And there is no real way to get out of it once you are glitched. Its beyond frustrating that they made the glitches worse with a patch.... Im usually pretty understanding about it being a video game, but when you make the game worse with a patch it frustrates me.
