Official Gears of War League Thread

Welcome to the Gears of War league on the Xbox One, this league has been started by a general interest of players that wish to have some fun and play the game in a more competitive manor. Current the two leagues you may join are a 1v1 and 2v2 league. The goal is for this to start out as something fun and competitive that we all enjoy and eventually turn into something that grows into an awesome league to take part in. If that is the case and the league sees enough growth then we can possibly have Tris support it and help setup a match finder or league standings ect ect. The rules, league structure and rankings are posted below.

Structure: The 1v1 and 2v2 league will be ran in a ladder format that will last three weeks and at the end of the season there will be a playoff-style tournament to crown the champion. How the ladder will work is very simple, you may play any opponent within the ladder at any time, once completion of a match has taken place the winner must post on this thread with the following format that has been posted at the bottom. If you are interested in joining the 2v2 league but you’re alone, we will partner you up with another solo player to form a team.

League Rules:
Each match won earns your team 2 points
Each match lost in a tie breaker earns your team 1 point
Each match lost in two maps earns your team 0 point
There is no limit to the amount of matches that your team can play, however you must play each team twice within the 3 week span.
You cannot play the same opponent for more than two matches in a row (this rule is here so you cannot stat pad and forces you to play different teams)
Don’t be a dick
Post your match results in a timely manor
If there is any issues with scheduling games, teams being unruly, or anything like that contact me. Please remember were here to play gears for fun but competitively so treat it as such.

Perfect Reload On
Weapon Respawn - After Use
the only weapon substitutions will be swapping any spawning boomshots with snipers.
First to win TWO out of THREE maps wins the match
Each map will be first to win FOUR rounds
The challenger of the match hosts the game
The higher seed picks the first map, the team who wins the first map gets to pick the second. The tie-breaker map will always be Raven Down. (if both teams are tied in the standings then each team will get a chance to pick map one and map two and the tie breaker will still remain Raven Down)

*You man take pictures for verification but they are not required. *
