I've played a PS3 for exactly 2 games of hockey (Cobraz). That experience almost made me kill myself.
This thread lost me at ps3, i'll be adding this to my ignore list. EDIT Just noticed Jody Kitchen posted in it, so I shall remove this thread from my ignore list. PS3 remains the suck however, to me.
The BluRay part of it is cool. But now that you can get a BluRay player for like 6 twizzlers and a handjob it's not as cool anymore.
I'll tell you one main reason i prefer Xbox 360 over my PS3, It's below every post. Microsoft actually gives us user data. You've been surprised how helpful it is to know if users are online, if they've played a game or not or the last time they did so. So many good things have come from that including LIVE SCORING in NHL games ect And BTW i was really disappointed when they announced their PS3 Plus program, i was hoping it would be MS who had to offer the free service
With all the ads we are constantly bombarded with on the dashboard you would think so, wouldn't ya? We are paying to be bashed over the head with ads constantly. Sad thing is, they could probably raise the price $50 and we would almost all still pay it.
I think all the motion crap is going to go the same way as the Wii. Everyone and their dog will get one, after a month the newness will wear off and it'll collect dust. Or so I think it'll go like that.
Wii is still extremely popular. It just doesn't have games that I enjoy or the graphics. I'm not as much of a graphics whore as I was but I still think games should look better than the gamecube. Kinect is a controller, remote, communications device. PS3 Move is Wii2.0. I'm hoping the Kinect lives up to the hype.
And don't get me wrong. Even though ps3 move is Wii 2.0, I still want to play it and I think it will be better at golf games than Kinect will be.
Did you read the bloomburg report yesterday that estimates MS earns around 1 billion a year in revenue from XBL services? It's really a big cash cow
Just read it today. Joystiq or Kotaku linked to it. They always said that they wouldn't make their real money off the console but from XBL. Just amazing to see how much.
Then did you read Bobby Kotick wanting a big piece of that pie since he estimates 60% of the users use it to play CoD lol
I dont care about the geek crap...it just boils down to how long do i have to wait? and how many games are a lag festival online. I have played the ps3 a bunch of times at friends houses, its always a cluster. Like Gerbox said, the blu ray thing is useless now that you can buy em at wal mart with an oversized box of trix cereal, so it cant even really use that as a huge feature. I just cant get over that people actually have the patience for that console.
