    General

Everyone must have a registered PokemonShowdown account. Please try to make this as close as possible to your Leaguegaming name.

Teams must complete their scheduled matches within the designated timeframe. Games not completed and posted by the designated date will be subject to forfeits.

    How to set up matches
    How to PokemonShowdown thread

Following a battle, both members are required to upload the battle. The winner of each match must link the replay of the match in the appropriate thread, to confirm the match has been played.

    Gameplay Rules

All Pokemon must be level 100

Players cannot use the following Items
No Mega stones will be permitted (Gengarite, Salamencite, ect..)
    Soul Dew

Players cannot use the following abilities
    Shadow Tag
    Moody
    Battle Bond
    Power Construct

Players cannot use the following Moves
    Double Team
    Minimize
    Sand Attack
    Swagger
    Fissure
    Guillotine
    Horn Drill
    Sheer Cold
    Baton Pass
    Clauses

    Sleep Clause
If a player has already put a Pokemon on his/her opponent's side to sleep and it is still sleeping another one can't be put to sleep.

    Evasion Clause
A Pokemon may not have either Double Team or Minimize in its moveset.

    OHKO Clause
A Pokemon may not have Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill or Sheer Cold in its moveset.

    Endless Battle Clause
Players cannot use any moveset on any Pokemon capable of intentionally causing an endless battle.

    Forfeits
Games not completed will be marked as a loss for both teams involved. If a team can provide pictures showing they tried to battle their opponent at least once on 3 different days, the result may be overturned (we recommend pictures of LG/Discord private messages). If both teams provide proof of attempted contact, the result will continue to be a double loss.

    Standings & Tie Breaker Procedure

Standings will be based off wins, if members have identical records at the end of the season our tie-breakers will be the following:

    1. Overall Pokemon differential.
    2. Head to head record vs tied teams.
    3. Differential in matches vs tied opponents.
    4. Additional matches between tied opponents.

Should any tie be broken in a multiple team tie, yet still leave teams tied, repeat the process from step one with the teams that remain tied.

    Playoffs

All playoff rounds will be a best of 5. Series will be played over the course of a week. At the conclusion of each series in a round, the next week will begin. (if all series are done by Friday, round 2 will begin Friday and end on the following Friday)

Each Pokemon must have 1 battle by match 3, and 2 battles by match 5.

Regular season will decide playoff seeding, the top 8 teams will make playoffs.
Playoff brackets will reseed between rounds. (highest seed vs lowest seed every round)

    Roster Management

Each team must have a total of 10 Pokemon at any given time.

You must have 1 Pokemon from every tier in each battle

Each Pokemon is required to participate in at least 4 battles during a season

Once a Pokemon is on a roster, no other team may use that Pokemon (unless traded for)

Once traded or dropped, a Pokemon may not return to the same team in the same season. This includes if the Pokemon is traded or dropped at a later date.

    Adding & Dropping

Teams may add a Pokemon from the pool of undrafted Pokemon. To add a Pokemon, a team must post in the appropriate thread, and in a corresponding move, must drop a Pokemon from their roster. Adding/dropping may take place on any day BUT the pokemon cannot be used until the Add/Drop has been confirmed. If multiple teams wish to claim a Pokemon for their team, the team which posted first will have priority.

    Adding/Dropping Restrictions:

Any move made must not result in an ineligible roster. (maintain tier limits, previously acquired rule, etc.)
Should an owner need to be replaced, the previously returning rule will be waived. This allows the new owner to re obtain a previously dropped Pokemon should they still be available

    Trading

    Submitting Trades:
Trading may take place any day but the trade must be confirmed in order for them to be used. After both respective teams have come to an agreement, a PM must be sent to myself (Tcx7)

    Trades Restrictions:
Any Trade made must not result in an ineligible roster. (maintain tier limits, previously acquired rule, etc.)

Tier Breakdowns (these #s may change in between seasons)

We will be using 5 tiers (with a twist) from the competitive Pokemon Metagame.
Over Used (OU) Will be combined with Borderline 1 to create a bigger roster for selection.
Under Used (UU) Will be combined with Borderline 2 to create a bigger roster for selection.
Rarely Used (RU) Will be combined with Borderline 3 to create a bigger roster for selection.
Never Used (NU) Will be combined with Borderline 4 to create a bigger roster for selection.
And PU (Doesn't actually stand for anything)

    Tier Requirements:
OU (Minimum and Maximum of 2 Pokemon)
UU (Minimum and Maximum of 2 Pokemon)
RU (Minimum and Maximum of 2 Pokemon)
NU (Minimum and Maximum of 2 Pokemon)
PU (Minimum and Maximum of 2 Pokemon)

    The Draft

The Draft will be a snake draft, which means if someone drafts first during the very first round, they'll draft last the following round, then they'll draft first again in the next round, and so on. (example: 1 to 10, 10 to 1, 1 to 10, and so on)

Our draft will have 10 total rounds.
