Media S5 AHLPSN Eastern North Division Write-Up

Albany Devils

After a rough Season 4, The Devils are looking to turn it around this year by bringing in management team @III_GREEK_III and @NatureX from Charlotte. Greek, as much as we hate to admit it, is one of the best GMs in the AHL and will be able to turn this team around.

Players to watch: @Joiridz, @hopsin56, @Etsy29, @WhatsTheMaatta

Forwards:

The Greek God has done it again. On paper, the Devils forward core is looking gross. Greek went big getting @Prince-Of-Zeus at $5.5m and @Cold_Killa-77 at $4m. Both PoZ and Cold will be deadly scorers on each wing. @Joiridz had a breakout season last year with Tuscon, if he can keep playing at that pace, he could put up incredible numbers. @Pooler2012 is deadly and will slot nicely with Cold or Joiridz.

Defencemen:

Led by @NatureX, this defensive core looks very solid. @Etsy29 is a great top pairing dman and will live up to his $3.75m contract. @JoeWink13 looks very good at $2.75m and should produce well. @Clapaul, @Novax_8 will both be good depth defencemen. @sml09 was with Greek in Charlotte S4 as a Forward but made the switch to defence.

Goalies:

Finally getting away from Hershey is @tsibs88, an established elite goalie in the AHL who was just in the Calder finals. @WhatsTheMaatta was a sleeper pick. Maata is a very very good goalie and will put up superb numbers behind that Charlotte and will be right with Sibs skill wise.

Binghampton Senators

After having one of the best GMs running the Baby Sens, CHL Memorial champion @Full_melt707 is taking over alongside @koztom-.

Players to watch: @Philthy813, @Vish_b, @Gwa.... nvm

Forwards:

With a few familiar faces, this forward core will be lead by @Unluckeux. The Sens have brought in a lot of CHL S4 players such as @bschmidy10, @LeCupidon and @Mathqc22. Melt brought in xbox player @boonsop playing his first season on PSN. Watch out for @Vish_b, a very talented DP looking to make his name known in the AHL.

Defencemen:

S4 Sens were built up from their stacked defence. This season, @Philthy813 and @Robster_819 will be leading this core. @mrtryhard98NHL will have his first season locked at RD and could be interesting. @HeyMysticMac is back and will solidify that left side. @Bufflechuck and @BigBadWolfert2 have both been solid through preseason.

Goalies:

AGM @koztom- is back to goalie after playing S4 as a skater. He had average CHL but can hopefully step it up for the AHL. @Vezina-_- looks like a very good goalie. Had very nice stats in the CHL and theu should translate to the CHL as a 2nd round DP.

Rochester Americans

After a rough S4, @JLott0910 is returning as GM. The Rochester staff will look to bounce back this season.

Players to watch: @doundansticky, @VET1MARINE5JUL10

Forwards:

The forward core looks a little weak. Jlott went big on @doundansticky with a $6m contract after a bad S4, Hopefully he can bounce back to the 80pts player he was. @JUST_HIEBS and @DJ-JOEYD25 are both solid $500k players that will make their AHL debuts. @Purtuzzi and @Robbed95 are both very nice on the sticks and will look to light it up this season. @JLott0910 made the position change to RW after having a rough year at RD. Hopefully this change will benefit the team.

Defencemen:

The first noticeable part of this defence is @VET1MARINE5JUL10 who is making his return to LG, after dropping through NHL bidding he lands a fat contract of $4m. @Jwva and @Agent-PC returns as familiar faces. @Kgrilli did well in the CHL . @punisher4124 makes the change from G to RD and snags a $500k bid. Could be a steal.

Goalies:

In net, Rochester has brought up S4 CHL goalies @Asperzion and @rocOUTmaGLOKout. They both had good CHL numbers. Also out of the QMJHL, they have @Windmillsfordayz on TC, who i'd give the edge over of their rostered goalie. It'll be interesting how the Americans goalie situation works put.

St. Johns Ice Caps

Another one of the weaker S4 teams is the St. Johns Ice Caps. The Ice Caps are now run under new management @jets-2016 and @KingiKon who both have been CHL players over the last few seasons.

Players to watch: @xKLuTchDoLphiNx

Forwards:

This team has no real standout forwards. @XipassuscoreX is back after a rough S4 which got him sent to the CHL, He looks to bounce back for the Ice Caps. @mikeparkes204 was one of the biggest sleepers of the year. He fell through the draft and NHL bidding and found a home in St. Johns. Mike was one of the best defensive centers in the CHL this past season. @matrixz24 will be this teams scorer. The rest of the forward core is CHLers looking to make the jump to the AHL.

Defencemen:

@Bostonbruins7795 will be leading this defence with a $4.5m contract. @GoodBurger_L65l is very good defenceman and is a good deal at only $2.5m. @Kojakle16 was a sleeper after having a good year on a terrible team last season. @Dads Devil will try to turn it around after last season.

Goalies:

@xKLuTchDoLphiNx is $4.25m................... damn. Klutch is one of the best goalies in the league but that cap hit is unbelievably high. @Navyynick will be a good backup, Great personality and person too.

Syracuse Crunch

The boys are back. @nazzy2face will look to bring back the Crunch to the ECF again.

Players to watch: @LoBo_DaNgLeS_12, @Berrakov, @syngizzam

Forwards:

After a record breaking year, @LoBo_DaNgLeS_12 is back on the 2nd season of his multi-year contract. The Nazzy and Lobo connection will be even stronger than last season. @nazzy2face went big spending $7.75m on @CrAzYLiiSH, Crazy has beyond good numbers in the NHL and might even break Lobo's 136pts. @IxI-Toffoli-IxI will look to return to form as he makes his LG return.

Defencemen:

Nazzy went cheap on defencemen, the most expensive being @Berrakov who is a much better RD than RW. @syngizzam makes his return to Syracuse and will try to keep up the incredible job he's done so far. @II-Crazyy757-II is an interesting pick, he puts up points as a dman. @charmingdonut and @KiillliiilNG will both be very good depth defencemen. @Oiler365 made the switch to LD and will look to succeed within this organization.

Goalies:

Syracuse did some scouting and picked up goalie @Sladdir from xbox. Sladdir has looked amazing through preseason and will try to keep that going through the regular season. Former NHL goalie @xi_Goldy will be a good support goalie.

Toronto Marlies

The xbox take over has started as new GM @Meestah Don and @PaulyChunks take over Toronto this season. They will try to continue the success that this team was last season.

Players to watch: @Kusznir, @Namodeo98, @phillysmvp

Forwards:

This forward core looks really good. @Kusznir has moved from Center to Wing and will probably put up even more points. @Gastr604 looks like a great deal at $1m. If @Megafresh33 can consitently have good internet, he could be a danger at only $500k. @Namodeo98 is a very sneaky winger that could have a very good season paired with the right players. @Deedsl34l will be a good depth center.

Defencemen:

The two big names right off the bat are @phillysmvp and @BuRGeR who were the Marlies resigns. @TKDAwesome21 will be joining this defence core after a great S4 in Manitoba. @Patriot2113 looks like a sleeper who can score from the point. @daveydonuts522 is cashing in at $6m, looking to be a big part of this teams success. @King_Rinpin is an interesting choice.

Goalies:

@ItzA WaterMelon is and should be the clear starter. An amazing S4 proved he is among the leagues best goalies. @Jays_m8 will be a good backup.

Utica Comets

After getting bounced in the first round last year, @Gpig04 and @ittozziloP are back and have the team to go even farther.

Players to watch: @troublekid1999, @ittozziloP, @Gpig04, @icallsowhat55


Forwards:

Utica is returning with one of the most dangerous forward cores. While a lot of the team looks the same, @x73xtoffoli will bring some depth scoring alongside @habzfan76. @troublekid1999 is coming off an amazing year of 90+ pts, will be fun to watch to see if he can break 100 this season. @Jimbo1616 and @Colton287 both returning centers with new teammate @Noiseitmon who looks like he could do some damage down the middle. @xxHazzy-Eyesxx and @ittozziloP are both known as top scorers finish off the right side.

Defencemen:

The first big move on Utica's defence is @Gpig04's return to defence. He was a top NHL dman and will shut down most AHL RWers. @LRKrazyLR and @KASHED006 both return to Utica, both very solid dman on great contracts. Utica took a chance on new defenceman @x-_price-31_-x. @Dirk-noobishki and @Atchy11 both finish off this defence core with contracts upwards of $3m, creating a very deep and strong team.

Goalies:

@icallsowhat55 is back in the AHL after a pretty mediocre season 4. He has the potential to be among the leagues best, so watch for a breakout season this year. @XxDreamtheaterX looks like a good backup who has great numbers in the NHL. Could be one of the strongest tandems in the league.
