From TeamXbox.com: Step inside. Look around. Wanna know where today's toughest video game jocks go for a little R&R away from the virtual gridiron battles? To their cribs, of course. SEGA's sports studio, Visual Concepts Entertainment, maker of the acclaimed '2K' sports game series, and ESPN, the worldwide leader in sports, today announced details surrounding an innovative new feature called "The Crib," which will be available exclusively in the Fall release of ESPN NFL Football. "The Crib" gives gamers access to an empty pad that they can deck out with more than 300 unlockable items as they play through the game and score points, make plays or just get lucky. The more gamers play, the more they can win, so "The Crib" will offer players more of an incentive to crush the competition. For more, visit: http://www.teamxbox.com/news.php?id=4642
I think you can even walk around and play with the stuff. It would be fun (but seriously doubtable) to bring over next week's opposing team's QB and get him drunk over your house, then watch him play poorly.
Yeah, but I don't play football, but I do play tennis. A couple times during high school matches we would hang out with the other schools players. We have 4 high schools in about a 15 miles radious of each other. And since we all played tennis, we all were good friends because we all trained at the same camps and academies. So if we had a match against the other team, we would hang out and try to get the other opponent drunk for the next day's match.
I hear ya. Too much fluff like this is sometimes a bad thing (meaning they didn't spend enough time enhancing the gameplay).
I'm sure it has great gameplay. Maybe if you are an optomist, you will say that they have nailed down the gameplay perfectly, so they can add this fluff stuff.
