I rarely blitz. I usually only send in 1 guy every play. Which really doesn't hurt you. The only time I will send every1 is if it is like short yardage and I need a stop.

sending one extra guy in is considered a blitz. When you do that you are assigning that guy to that certain hole and if your wrong then you are screwed. Its better to try and contain instead of force the play. I also know that you blitz atleast one against me everytime and i use that to my advantage when we play.

I never said that running with Faulk is mericiful, it's just the best way to control the clock, control the ball, and not run up the score (assuming the other team can tackle). Ask Big Red, Faulk had several long TD's where he hit the wrong button and dove with his defender when he meant to switch to the closest player. Should I just stand there and wait for him to get back up? Please.

What would you have me do? Pass the ball?

I have like 2 rushing plays for my FB in the playbook, and I'm not going to substitute a backup to play for Faulk when I see other teams calling TO's and spiking the ball to specifically run up their stats and the score.

So, what are my alternatives other than calling all running plays and running down the clock as best as possible.

I know sending one guy is a blitz, I play football I know what I'm talking about. And yes I do usually send one guy in, but not EVERY time, just a lot of the time. Usually because the pass hurts me so I need to get some extra pressure on the QB. But recently I have played good against the pass, (tonight I had 5 INT's vs Oakland), so I don't blitz as much.

Like I said before, I don't really give rats @$$ what you do because it wont happen against a good team that knows what they are doing. I was just stating 2 points:
    1. stopping faulk isnt as easy as you make it seem
    2. rams do have a good defense whether you think those stars actually mean anything or not

Seriously Jon im not trying to get on your case because i had this same BS happen to me in Hockey.

    Hehehee...

Like the thought of padding Faulky-cake's stats never entered your mind... it did, you know it did... just for that one brief, fleeting moment I know... but it was still there.

    ;)

Hell yeah. Most of his rushing yards in my 5 games have been in the 2nd half just feeding him the ball.

i am in a dogfight with ted danson...

he's up 7-0, i'm driving, with :05 seconds left in the half. i'm on his 38, and i want to try one quick pass, get a time out, and kick a fg, if i can...

i try a quick slant... PICKED OFF! for a TD!!!

14-0 Bills at halftime! and i was getting the ball back to start the 2nd half!

    oh, the insanity!

great game, ted! good luck... until week 14!!!

So, I'm playing my game against the Broncos and low and behold on the 2nd or 3rd play of the game, my best linebacker gets hurt and is out for the game. Then..... later in the first quarter, Bettis gets hurt and he is out of the game. Then.... in the 3rd quarter Amos Zeroueh gets hurt and he is out of the game.

It was the strangest thing. I lost 2 of my runningbacks and had to go with the 3rd stringer. Really strained my play calling. It was a good game, but with those injuries it was really tough. (oh.. and yes, I lost by 7).

that was pretty pussy if you ask me. So what if you are losing by 21 going into the half you dont have to throw the game because of it. Grow up a little bit.
