Over the past few weeks/months since a recent Xbox update a ton of us have been running into issues taking screen shots. That being said I have contacted Xbox, via Twitter and got some help. @F5 Penguin is also looking into a few answers for me through his current Xbox contacts. This is what I have come up with thus far: After a discussion with Xbox Support, they explained a fix could be to remove my account, and recover it. Here are the steps they provided me: "Appreciate the info there! Just to be sure, let's have you give these steps a shot for your Xbox One console and let us know if you are still seeing the same issue there. Let's try to remove your profile: http://xbx.lv/1kQseEQ power cycle your console: http://xbx.lv/19Pxh2o and finally redownload your profile: http://xbx.lv/1C1eKmG ^FH" I've tried these steps and my screen shots seem to work 1/4 tries now. The other steps I have been told to try was to: Go to Settings All Settings Power& Start Up Power Mode & Power Mode Turn your "Instant On" to Power mode energy saver Not a great picture but that should give you some idea as to what I mean. If anyone else has any other suggestions please by all means post them below. Hopefully this gets sorted out for our seasons begin for all of our Xbox Leagues. Thanks -Brodie
yeah i'm not removing my account lol. I don't understand what the problem was in double-tapping the xbox button and hitting X or Y to take a video or screenshot. As if there weren't enough things that don't work properly on this console, they had to take something that did work and fuck that up too.
In my experience voice commands work without issue for screenshots. If you activate cortana, you can use voice commands through your headset and tell her to take a screenshot, or if you use a kinect just do that. We did this to get through IHL despite them still being broken.
I agree with Vague here. I have cortana on my Xbox and I use it all the time for my screenshots and I don't have any problems.
I tried the method listed in your post with no success, taking screenshots still does not work for me. Like the people above me have said, taking screenshots with Cortana seems to be the way to go for now.
Hehe. Greggy give Mac the "Tanks fer nuttin" Cortana has solved the issue for me. I so wanted to avoid Cortana but sadly had no choice. Dbl tap and x still works like a charm. Only SS is the issue.
