The LeagueGaming SportsBook – Pick’em The LeagueGaming SportsBook Pick‘em is just one of the many leagues offered at LeagueGaming.com. The difference between this league and the other leagues is, this one will be based on real life sports and not video games. Pick ‘em League: The stats (winnings/losses) will be tracked throughout the whole season. At the end of the season, a Pick ‘em Champion will be declared according to who won the most LG Dollars. How to play: Each week, corresponding with the real life sports’ counterpart, there will be a listing of the real life games in which you can pick whether or not a team will beat the spread (the spreads will be determined using another site). At the beginning of each week, you will be given 500 LG Dollars. These LG Dollars are worthless other than for stat tracking. You will then take those 500 LG Dollars and distribute them among some, or all, of the games for that week. There is a 100 LG Dollar maximum per game. 1. Click the SportsBook Icon (next to the other league icons). 2. Click the link on the left titled “My Bets”. You will be presented with a page listing the games. 3. On this page, you will see the Home/Away matchup, a dropdown menu, a wager box, favorite and spread. * Using the dropdown menu, choose who you think will beat the spread * Place your amount (up to 100) you wish to put towards your pick. * When you’ve placed all your picks, Click Wager. The page will refresh and displayed next to the Wager button will be the amount of LG Dollars you have remaining. 4. You will be able to make changes to your picks up until the Pick’em deadline. You can review your picks at any time by clicking the “My Bets” link in the SportsBook section of the site. Playing the spread (a brief tutorial on playing the (NFL) spreads): Team A @ Team B Team B is favored by 6 points. If you think Team B will win their game by more than 6 points, choose Team B If you think Team A will win the game OR lose by less than 6 points, choose Team A. If Team A loses 30-24 (in other words a tie), the result is a push. A push is neither a win or loss. Other links: Pick’em Home – Displays the games and the percentage of which team was picked to beat the spread. For instance, let’s say 10 people wager between Team A @ Team B. Eight people choose Team A and two pick Team B. The percentage line will reflect 80% for Team A and 20% for Team B. This page will also display the latest scores for the games that are played and the standings of LG participants (overall and weekly). Weekly Picks – This link displays who picked which team from the matchups listed. After the game has finished, you will be able to see how much each individual wagered on that game. While in the Weekly Picks section, you can click on any of the member names (including your own) and get a detailed analysis of that member's performance thus far. Weekly Stats - This link is where you can find the overall standings and/or review how you or others finished in previous weeks. My Bets – This is where you can review/change your picks and amount you wish to place on your pick. |
