Curious how you guys are doing in your "my player" career. I'm been playing it for a few weeks now, and finally got picked up by an nba team (PHX :kpho. Currently a 53 overall, Link http://community.2ksports.com/community/user/?u=1 How's it going for everyone else?
i was tempted to throw this out also as a question. good idea my guys a 53 I believe. I got drafted 2nd rd, 5th pick by the Pistons. I've gotten the starting job off and on for the past few games. It was nice cuz Stuckey the starter was hurt for the 1st 15 games. than came back for 3 and got traded for a 1st rd pick so one less pg to battle. The team is 5-18 and it's horrible. I get good playing time but when i get subbed out the team goes down by 10+ points and it's all downhill from there. i'm 1st in rookie assts and 6th in ppg. very fun mode but wish i could do a bit more. Not in
im 61 ovr center, played about 72 games, started out on erie bayhawks got picked up by golden state then demoted to bakersfield jam after 5 games, i feel like im endlessly stuck in the d league for now i got demoted 30 games ago. raising your defensive and offensive awareness raises your overall rating faster i found. but i have a 70 dunk rating and can rock the rim if im in the open.
ratings don't matter when it comes to abilities. i'd rather have a fleshed out guy with a 57 than a 72 with 100% awareness you can't do anything with. it also doesn't come into play with rotation. As I'm starting as a 53
Currently a 55 overall. Started out on the nets summer league team then went to the d-league. I was able to get a 10 day contract in the nba with the bobcats towards the end of my first season in the d-league. Now im a couple of games into my second season in the d-league.
I am 55 rated PG 3point specialist. I made it to the NBA out of the draft and played my 10 games then got sent down to the D league. I played about 10 games in the D league before the Jazz brought me back to the NBA. I played the entire season riding the bench for the Jazz. I cannot make starter, I am a PG but yet I always end up being put in at SG. I was wondering if your player can get traded during the course of the season? I had my chance to go with 4 other teams at the end of my first season, but ended up staying with the Jazz.
i think the awareness does help, it goes for smarter layups and dunks and is a smarter player, easier to control i guess, i do feel a difference with awareness up or down.
Here is my player. Im currenty with the Clippers playing behind Baron Davis. I was drafted 1st overall in the 2nd Rd by the Kings and was sent to the D-league. We are currenty fighting for the last Playoff spot http://community.2ksports.com/community/user/blogs.cfm?blogid=55621 I know you guys are digging the Mohawk baby!
<rant> I like this mode but find it very annoying as well. For example, if my opponent scores, it affects my rating, but if I score, it doesn't. Plus, in the fourth quarter, I get subbed in and subbed out way too much. Sometimes I am in the game for five seconds before I get subbed out, then back in. I spend more time watching the ref inbound the ball, which takes way too long, then actually playing in the fourth </rant>
I see in the patch details that this is going to be fixed. From the patch details "Tuned the substitution logic such that users should no longer be substituted out only to be substituted in at the next dead ball." http://www.2ksports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=241487 I will probably wait for the patch to drop before playing this mode.
I'm not really sure what makes it a "good" shot. Most of the time I am trying to get to the play spot to get it initiated. By the time I get him in the right spot, the CPU has usually already shot the ball.
one of the goals they need to take out is the "do not allow your oppenet to get 2 assist" If youre a PG and your playing a PG... there is no way you can stop him from dishing assist... thats just the dumbest goal ever
NBA champs Memphis Grizz. My dude was Mvp off the playoffs. Fun hard run playing my 1st season. I found it easier as the season went on. I started as a 55 rated SG coming out of the draft. Was picked 1st round 27th to Memphis. I had to by pass the clone glitch but still made the team. It only took about 20 games for OJ Mayo to get the boot. He was trade to kings for a 1st round pick. Things were going good. We were about 6 gms over .500. Then right before allstar break the Grizz traded Zack Randoulph to the Cavs for Shaq. It was over after that. Had the 3rd seed in da west. Playoffs were a little harder. 1st round beat Mavs 4-2. 2nd round vs. Portland was easy. Won 4-0 only cause Roy got hurt 1st round 7th gm vs. Spurs. West finals vs. Denver was the hardest series ever. Won gm 1. Lost gm 2. Won game 3 then lost gm 4 and 5. Jr Smith was a beast. Gm 5 we got blown out by 30. Game 6 we won by 25. Gm 7 was crazy. Back and forth all gm with the Grizz leading by 10 most of the game. Denver crawled back to tie last minute of the game. Down 1pt with 6 seconds left and I get to ball. I drive the lane hoping to get fouled but made the basket(my 1st game winner all season). Melo missed a long 3. My player stepped it up in playoff. Had 2 1st milestones. 40+ game in gm 6 vs nuggets and a triple double vs Portland. Final was vs. The bobcats. Yes the Bobcats beat magic and celtics both 7gm series to make the finals. The grizz won in 5 games. My player was MVP of the finals. Woo hoo. Now I'm stuck on what team to play on for season 2. I save a bunch of times and keep trying to get back on the Grizz. Then offer me to stay on bulls or 76ers. Or sign with cavs, lakers, magic. Few other teams come up when I reload a new profile. I want the celtics or back on the Grizz. Celtics never come up but when a season starts they sign either Rip Hamilton or Tmac. The one time I was able to sign back on Memphis Rudy Gay is gone but shaq is there. Also grizz signed tmac, boozer and grant hill. I picked the bulls once to see the line up and Shaq followed me there too. I want the celtics or play with some uconn guys. I think I'll be defending the championship for a 2nd time with da Grizz. Start of season 2 I got 10 more drills and my player went up a few points during the offseason. My SG is rated 84 now. I'm nasty lol. Going for MVP and allstar gm this season.
Forgot to metion. I won Rookie of the year and all rookie 1st team. Avg 19.1 regular season and 26.9 in the playoffs. Also coach does the same for me. Sit 10 sec then go back in. I play the whole 1st quarter(8min). Then sit the 2nd for 30 sec. Real close game if I'm the bench I watch the game so I can call time outs. That help u get back in the game. I never super sim unless were up 20+. A few time I super simmed we were up big in the 4th but the other team comes back.
If you deny the player the ball it is do-able. I accomplish those more than i thought I would just by denying and doubling.
Pick up games work now. Fun but same cheesers. Everyone goes to the hole and leaves me open for 3sssssssss. Pays of working on your dude.
