Check this out, how you can create, edit and make your own courses, right on console (i thought it was just for pc at first)
Wow! This looks super easy and fun! And I love how everything changes and populates on the fly!!! Plus you can jump right in and play a test run to make adjustments with no loading. I think this could really add something to a Golf League, by implementing "Club Challenges" aside from the regular leaderboards, or have users submit their courses to be added into the "season". We could even form clubs/teams like in hockey, and have "Home & away games" at a clubs designed course. I am starting to get fired up Tris10!!!!
No doubt, the "create your own course" is such a game changer if you think about it. For example in Tiger woods 14, some DL courses are $5.99 (http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/The-Predator/2d43138e-6177-42d3-8c88-04d90644283f) , where as this option will see too it there are thousands upon thousands of new , creative courses all for free. I said it once and ill say it again, its a game changer
I dont see the appeal, I like the tiger woods games because the courses are real, and I can play courses I dont have the means to in real life.
Its gonna have a ton of real courses too, this is just a nice bonus. Creating and sharing courses gives infinite possibilities and variety, and would (I imagine) be used to expand on the LG season, not revolve around created courses.
Who regular users? There will probably hundreds of "Augusta's" and Pebble Beaches made by regular users, And i doubt the game will be on 24/7 to monitor and enforce courses. If anything they just wont allow you to title them by their copywritten names. If anything, this gives a lot more choice for consumers.
Maybe the holes will be replicates, but can they really recreate the scenery? Im sure the ones engraved in trees will be easy, but courses like pebble beach?
You are correct, they do just say "pre designed couses", but between the developer and user created, I am sure there will be some pretty convincing counterfeits. If you remember early Tiger Woods games, there were limited real courses, and some of the coolest ones were the fantasy courses like PREDATOR and EMERALD DRAGON. I am sure that if this first version does well, theres a good chance of them pursuing some course licenses. Either way, I am glad we are getting some nextgen golf!!
