Get your facts straight, deadline was 11:59 I put it in at 12:00 and he told me he might extend it an hour anyway.
It was last minute. Knightz was MIA for 2 weeks. We assumed you were playing with us, but you were already on a different roster. I will miss our adorable farmer.
The Keck edit was 12:05, if he wasnt on 2 rosters I wouldnt have been super against letting that slide, a few minutes late because you were in a game or busy doing something. The issue was you put Pindy on your roster randomly, despite the fact that he was already elsewhere, and then when you saw he was taken already you switched to Keck, who was also already taken. The fact that he was on 2 rosters is the issue. The first roster followed rules completely and would have been fucked if you could take their player post-deadline. It seems like a lot of people want the deadline extended. This tournament has been in the works for more than a month, deadlines have been set for 2 weeks. Im all about getting as many people in as possible, but if they havent organized themselves by now, whats an extra day or 2 going to do?
Aren't playoffs like a month+ long? We have a lot of time to try and let a few more teams get organized. Look at the recruiting thread, there are a lot of players still floating around looking for a team. We managed to throw a team of 8 together in about 2 hours last night, it can be done. Seems silly to me to put a hard deadline on it, if it isn't even going to start for another month. I'd vote to keep things open until we're about 2 weeks away from starting and have everyone paid up a week in advance.
well if keso finds some1 to replace me, in case they need some1 to play more often, he can let me know and make his roster move and then I'll be free. so if you need me to play at some point you do the same.
You cannot join a different team Kipper. Replacements have to be players not in the tournament previously
Once the roster deadline passes teams cannot make any changes, however in order to prevent inactivity each team has 1 roster replacement for the tournament: In order to be eligible for a roster replacement a player has to be taken off the roster, that player must message AnthraxDusted and Tris10 confirming that they no longer wish to play. No refund will be given to that player. The replacement cannot be on any tournament roster, and cannot have previously been removed from another team, must be a new player. The replacement must pay a $10 buy-in that will be added to the prize pool. Roster Replacements can occur only during the regular season when all of the above requirements are met.
Its come to my attention tha theres a gray area in the rules. The roster replacement wording assumes the $10 has already been paid by the guy who is being replaced. In an event of roster replacement before the money deadline of Friday 11:59PM the player being replaced needs to PM both me and Tris that they no longer intend to play and the team will be allowed to replace them at that point. Doesnt count towards the official replacement that can occur mid-tournament and no penalty will have to be paid. However if you are replaced, you cannot join another team.
