Supporters Shield Round 1 - All Interested Players Should Register!!

Making the announcement of Supporters Shield Round 1!!

Who: All LGFA players are eligible to participate

What: Supporters Shield - a chance for all active players to participate in a random club experience, gathering points that will be combined at the end of the year to announce the Supporters Shield Starting XI where players will be eligible for $10 XBOX Live Gift Cards or 20,000 FUT points.

When: Games to be played February 12 from 9 pm to 11 pm est. Championship game WILL BE PLAYED ON FEBRUARY 12!!!

Why: This will give a chance for players to participate and mingle with various folks from other teams throughout the league, regardless of players being on the Starting XI, on the 18-man roster or on a TC.

The point system that will be as follows:

1 point per game played as a midfield or forward
2 points per game played as a defender
2.5 points per game played as a GK
5 points for being a member of a top 2 team in the table (minimum 2 games played)
4 points for being a member of the championship game winning team
-10 points for registering, being drafted and failing to participate

Please sign-up by posting your desire and willingness to play. In addition, if you'd like to serve as an honorary captain, please indicate that in your response. Only requirement to be a captain is you MUST HAVE a twitch account and broadcast your games. Captains and number of teams will be determined and communicated on February 11 at 8:30 est.

After the number of teams are determined, we will have a LIVE SNAKE DRAFT that will begin on February 12 starting at 9 am est.

All players will be drafted; no member of a teams 18-man roster can be drafted until all TC players have been selected.

Championship Game is Sunday prior to regularly scheduled league games. Of course, this will only take off if we have at lea44 people sign-up. I put the odds at about 30% that this takes off, but throwing it out there to get folks registered. There is a week for folks to visit the site and if management or players post in their team forums and/or folks check into the league forum from time to time, they will find the information.

Organizer for Round 1 disagrees but is now changing it so all games are played on Thursday evening.

Regardless, first and main concern is getting another 30 committed individuals to sign-up.
