Hey guys,

Week 5 is now LIVE!

Courses this Week:

Primary: Links at Liberty Sound
Secondary: TPC Scarpacci West
HDCP Restricted Course: Loch Lorne Golf Club (Scotland)

Instructions:

You'll find the regular two courses in Play > Play Tour > Search LT > Look for LT S3 W5

To find the HDCP Restricted course (For people with a TGC Handicap lower than a +5.0 Rating), go to Play > Play Tournament > Search LT > Look for LT S3 W5 HDCP

IMPORTANT: For those guys who have an interest in playing the restricted course, you can play it at ANY TIME during the week. You can play it first before the regular tournaments, if you wish. It's a separate event. Just be sure when you post your scores here, that you put it in the proper leaderboard.

Deadline for Week 4: Sunday, July 26th at 11:59 PM Eastern

IMPORTANT! Please note the presence of a countdown clock next to each tournament. It indicates how much time you have left to post scores.

Post your round thoughts here! As always, if there are any concerns to bring up, provide your evidence to me privately, and I will review.

Your 2nd shot on Hole 7, LLS, is really fun to get creative with

 

I couldn't finish the major last week because my right stick would not go to 100%, was constantly stuck at 90-95% even if I intentionally held it longer to make an impact. Was there an update to the X1 I was unaware of? It made the round unplayable.

 

Yes last week update it screwed up the left stick as well made it swing in reverse...supposedly the fix has been submitted just waiting on approval to implement it..

 

That update got fixed and resolved last night.

 

Oh good, I can play this week! It was very aggravating last week.

 

I now feel like Slammin Sammy after the new PS4 update. Love it when you get a 91% shot on a par 3 and end up in a bush so you cant even see your golfer. Good job its just a game.

I know what you mean about slamming it. I feel that if I don't push through really hard then I'll get a sub 100% contact.

At least Sony will be happy with all the controllers being purchased because of the wear and tear that we'll be giving them.

 

Didn't fix anything I can't get past 92% on most swing. WTF????

 

Note to self... Don't go out in very strong winds and think that you can compete. :grin:

I need to be more patient sometimes and play the course when the wind is down a bit more. Luckily this won't be a problem soon, when we get the wind fix on Friday.

Two very enjoyable courses this week. If I didn't miss so many putts under 8 feet it could have been a great week for me. I still can't believe that I went lower than Ian at Liberty.

Kicking myself for only scoring -6 in the 2nd round at Liberty. 1st round was the 1st time I'd played the course, wife got home from work just as I finished that so I stopped for an hour. Couldn't get in the groove or hit anything close in the 2nd round, think I had 2 bogies too. 4th round was staying level on the leaderboard with Miacanes and then only pared 3 of the last 4 holes. Oh well, roll on next week.

 

I was playing my rounds quickly tonight and pressed x one too many times after round 1 and don't know my hole by hole scores. Can you guys figure it out based on the API or do I just not get a score this week?

 

It's easy to sort that out. Just add your ghost ball from round one the next time you play, the scores will be added to your scorecard. You can add it on the 18th hole if you don't want the ghost ball putting you off throughout your round.

 

I know how that feels blueorfe, I left my rounds at Scarpacci until today (Sunday) and wind was peaking at 16 mph. Still really enjoyed this weeks picks, 2 very good courses and fun to play. Well played all especially the winners. :cry:

 

The good news is that the wind is on, so we all play the courses the same next week.

I'm about Winded out. After the first two rounds in TGCT and then playing remaining 3 rounds a Liberty today, I need a break from tornado golf. Decided not to play Scarpacci. Although some may think playing in these winds are a good time, I'm not one of them - especially when I know not everyone had to play it that way this week. All good though, next week will be different.
