3.4.5 : Emergency Call Up Restrictions

• NHL Players CANNOT ECU for the AHL
• AHL Players CANNOT ECU for the CHL
• Players can only be used as an ECU for a MAXIMUM eight times a season, and two times during the playoffs(once during a round).
• Players can ONLY be used as an ECU for a MAXIMUM of three times during the week.
• Players can ONLY be used as an ECU for a MAXIMUM of twice but only once during a round, in the playoffs.
• Players scheduled for a game in their own League are ineligible to ECU unless their team's GM allows them to be used.
• ECU limits are per League, not per player. Therefore an AHL TC player is eligible to ECU 8 times(max 3 a week) in the AHL as well as the NHL.
• Random Veterans CANNOT ECU to the NHL during the playoffs
• Random veterans CANNOT ECU to the AHL during the playoffs.
• Prospect players cannot ECU to the NHL during the season.
• Prospect players cannot ECU to the NHL and AHL during the playoffs

 

You know if they lifted that for NHL there would be a double tag for every double tag lol. They can still play for the A at least. The amount of times people would try to cheat the system far outweigh any benefit of changing that.

 

So people would rather see forfeits then. How awesome is that...

 

I don't think Brodie and Tris would want to see a few less forfeits at the expense of the integrity of the league. If somebody wanted to double tag it would be super easy if you had it your way.

 

The point I'm trying to make it avoid forfeits. If each prospect can ECU once a week at higher levels, it's shouldn't pose a problem? I get the double tagging issue, but hell forfeiting makes people not want to play. If a draft pick can play full time, a prospect should be able to at least ecu once a week to avoid potential forfeits.

 

How can you expect the league to fix your thumbs and crippling social anxiety?

 

Rather forfeits than easy avenues for double tagging.

 

Then you have a situation like Arizona where no one wants to play.

 

What you are proposing is to block our single best defense against massive second tagging. Your way only compounds the problem.

The Arizona situation could be fixed by imposing higher ban buyouts among other things.

 

What is a ban buyout going to solve if we don't have the players willing to play? Again, I get the double tagging issue but when you can't get hold of any players other than prospects to ECU, what does that solve? Nothing.

 

Idk, network better? You want to open pandoras box just to cure your singular issue.

Two things.

1. Right now when you look at roster page there is a clickable box that can show or unshow players not on roster but in organization. My suggestion is to add another box to NHL roster page that is clickable. When the box is enabled it shows the current draft pick assests each team has. Example underneath the Goalies the Blackhawks have Chicago 3rd Round pick and Calgary 3rd Round pick. This would make it easier for teams to identify which teams have which draft picks instead of going to each teams standing page to look. I don' think it' absolutely needed but I still think it would be a more efficient improvement.

2. This idea I think shouldn' be implemented next season but it should be the season after that way NHL organizations have time to adjust. The idea is that all drafted players are 500k salary instead of the current style which can range them between 2m and 500k. This would increase draft pick value

 

If you look at your own stats, they aren't very dominant, so a manager glancing over his TC isn't exactly going to pick you out of the lineup without you figuring out a way to showcase yourself. This doesn't mean you are necessarily bad, but bad stats don't get you noticed. Of course people that know each other are going to play together, this is a video game.

Hang out in the chatbox and find people that need to round out a 6's lineup for the night, put in your weekly availability even if you are on the TC, be active in your team's groupme/chat, etc. These are simple things you can do to get your name out there. You are entitled to nothing in a virtual video game hockey league.

I may have been short in my response to you, but hitting me with trolls and telling me I'm part of the problem is ignoring the fact you aren't looking at your situation and asking yourself what things you can do to get noticed. Blaming other people will only make you come off as a whiney player, and why would anyone want to play with someone who points the finger at others.

 

With stricter bans and buyouts it means less chance of them either doing it again or coming back. There are plenty of people to fill the voids whether you deem them worthy or not. I believe in hardcore punishment is the only way. I'd have them sit out a season not counting the one they quit and still have to pay a fee to re-enter the league regardless of how long they wait because they are a liability to the league period.

Maybe it's the QC on your tag. Kind of a repellant to most owners.

 

If you've done all of that then you are either bad or unlikeable. I don't know what to tell you "buddy"

 

You did that 8 seasons ago and you were under 2 ppg in the AHL. That's the bare minimum you want to shoot for anyways. I hit up the chatbox asking if anybody needed a goalie every couple of days while I was in the CHL last season. The dude that picked me up was one of those guys and now I'm in the NHL... it isn't hard to move up or get a roster spot.

 

9-19 with a -33 is probably scaring teams off
