Friday or Saturday Night COD Suggestion/Opinion Thread

Since @JTx11- is a failure at FNP (for PSN) *I LOVE YOU JT* I was hoping to start or have a few guys help run a Friday or Saturday Night COD tourney every Friday or Bi-Weekly to coincide with FNP because FNP is great but COD this year has blown my expectations out of the water and I love it all over again.

My Suggestion, run a Draft because I know if I ran with my boys in a Pre-made team format its Insta Wins (im kidding im a shitter) but you get my point to where its kinda OP to have a god squad as a team.

I have no idea how it would work or how to start it but I feel like it would be a fun idea and also help branch LG to other communities such as COD because I know a lot of guys outside of LG who would for sure sign up and participate and in hopes to bring back the COD League! Plus I know @Tris10 and @LG McDonald would love the extra ad rev.

For rules, I think we should run the GB CWL Variant ruleset because I know it would make it a very competitive night, best out of 3 of course!

Just have it run almost exactly how FNP NHL does it.

- set number of owners
- owners can/cannot pick a GM (depending On signups)
- have teams draft from a pool of players
- set game times
- SND GB Variant (best out of 3, or 1)
- winner moves on until no more teams left

Suggestion:

Could have it on Saturday nights because let's be real, COD players really have no life. That way FNP sticks to Friday's for those who love their chel & Saturday Night Cod is for those who love their COD and don't want it to conflict. Just a suggestion.

I like the idea. Would prob signup. But what about guys who sign up just to play FNCoD. Friends of LG members for some instance who are CoD nerds. Is competition gonna be that good especially since FNP doesn't usually keep up with stats? How do you know who's an AR, sub or flex? I think it's gonna be a bit more complicated then you might think.

I support the idea still.

 

Yeah there's a lot more that goes into it, i didn't think about all that just because im trying to see if the community is even keen to the idea

The cod community is huge and if there was a way to bring some of those guys into our community and expand it would be awesome. I know this community is based off of sports games but we all could agree that more people in this community would be better. For the site, for a cod league even better our nhl leagues and so on. This also could be a start to a pro series for cod on here who knows

 

The cod community is very toxic lol. There are no dedicated servers like in eashl so people boot offline for 1$-2$ wagers

 

If only this idea was brought up during Cod4 Remastered...... oh wait......

I think it would be cool to start up a COD league I’d definetly be down I love competitive Cod.

 

U make a great point and seriously it could possibly expose new and better Call of duty teams/ players who may not be well known to the pro scene
