Managers will just snipe the snipe-announcement time.

No, I'm just saying make it public so most of the sniping won't happen. It drags out the bidding process longer than it needs to be.

I understand your point. I'm stating that it would have negative effects on teams that are not trying to be dicks. You have to consider all the effects before making this decision.

And 3 days isn't long at all when you're trying to fill 32 teams....

    This is a bad idea.

If I'm bidding on someone when I have 6M left and a team who has 12M left snipe that player. What's the point for me to keep bidding on him? I'll just find another team who has less cap than I do. It makes no sense at all and will ruin bidding.

Post bidding is a good idea.

Almost every decision in life has negative effects on at least someone or group. In my opinion, showing what team did the snipe will have less teams sniping which, I believe, is best for the league. Most snipes that would happen would be because of the scenario you posted which people can't be mad about. The current negative connotation with sniping is Owners/Management are just being doing it to be dicks. I feel showing the snipes would show who really wants to be known as a dick owner and eliminate this negative culture around sniping.

If the same team keeps showing up as snipers, especially in the last minute, we know who the true asses are. If we don't want them public. What about just posting how many times each team sniped during the bidding process. That might be the better solution. But I also like the drama it would create if everyone knew who was sniping.

You must not understand that public bids in any form make colluding for/against them easy. You just don't understand what keeping the process private is for.

You'd still get the same chatbox rage when the list is posted AFTER.

And that should be public after bidding. There is no benefit to having certain public bids during bidding. Only increased collusion and quitting. They can be exposed after bidding and I'm sure they'd feel it when having to try and make trades during the season.

Then why are you arguing for it DURING bidding?

    That's the whole issue.

This is a discussion thread and im just throwing out options for discussion. My bad that i didn't pick one and just go balls to the wall with it...

    1) You say what team sniped when the bid happened to deter teams from snipping
    2) After bidding, you post how many snipes each team had but not on what player
    3) We keep how it is or shorten the time from 12 hours.

It's point 1 that is a serious issue that I believe you don't understand. Many things can come from that bid being public. I threw a quick list on another thread up. My point is why can't #2 be enough? Part 1 doesn't make any other difference other than for earlier public shaming imo.

After bidding would be okay, during bidding is a terrible idea.

Nah. Removes part of the strategy of being a manager and can hurt trade relations. You never find out irl what other teams a players was talking to except through gossip news sources

I’ve never sniped anyone in my entire career. To me it’s nonsensical.

    God no.

However, you should make EVERY bid public after bidding ends.

Everyone who disagrees is a moron.

    The Benning has spoken.
