Longest Game in LG History - 12 periods. Last night was the longest ever recorded game in LG's history, a whopping 12 periods. The LG Blue Jackets edged the Lightning 2-1 slightly before 1am eastern and lasting nearly 2 full hours. so since we technically played 4 games in 1 does that mean we need to play next week or can we have it off?
Dear god, yes. I don’t mind playing one full OT period, but playing 90+ minutes of real time for a regular season game is in no way enjoyable. And although this game was an outlier, even 2 or 3 OT periods is enough to cause issues if players have another game afterwards.
Barring another ot game tonight... This man will have played 29 periods of LG hockey this week between the AHL and NHL. Not sure if we should give him the MVP award or say a prayer for how vastly those 29 cancerous periods of this game has likely negatively impacted his life? Sorry for putting you through that. Wouldn't wish that sort of torture on my worst enemy

Should be just like the real NHL. One 5 minute OT period and then if no one scores, then it goes to shootouts.
To keep everyone playing past regulation, it would be cool to have a 20 minute (5 minute real time anyways) OT period then a shootout with 5 shooters each where the shootout lineup can be decided in the club settings based on position. If still tied after 5 rounds, then the order resets
