Questions for everyone having the 5-10% packet loss issues.

Couple questions I’ve been discussing lately with people, trying to see if there’s a common theme here.



Who is your internet provider?

Does it happen more often in LG challenge than in actual club?

Around what time does it normally occur, and is it ongoing or stop after a bit?




Some common things seem to be Xfinity / Challenge / 9pm games and stops after a game


If we can narrow it down maybe we can avoid it going forward by pushing games back or something? But it’s starting to affect us in game, we have to address this issue and see if there’s common ground.

Provider is SHAW - running at 150/45 but have seen it drop as low as 45/11

in game connection appears to have no issues. 29-32 on East 19-24 on West

Does it happen more often in LG challenge than in actual club?

Happens far less to me in club. But im also not usually clubbing around LG game times.


Around what time does it normally occur, and is it ongoing or stop after a bit?

8 or 9pm games. I will have a period or two at 70 ping with 5-7% packet loss. Then it will return to 20 ping.

 

The countdown for 19 began when 18 was released.

 

I first started having these connection issues the week of March 26, 2018. In two years, I've never had a single problem. Typically, being an East-Coaster, I get 8ms on East Host and 40ms on West Host.

The past two weeks, I start out each game at 8ms ping with 0% packet loss. By the end of the first period I start feeling extremely heavy, with big-time lag spikes. I check my Network Performance during the first Intermission and it's always around 55ms - 65ms on FAIR connection, with 10-15% packet loss. I have a few screen shots of the trend line gradually rising from 8ms green to 60ms yellow. By the end of the third period, I usually see it gradually coming back down to 8ms green from 60ms yellow.

Does it happen more often in LG challenge than in actual club? So far it's mostly happening in Club Challenge, but I had one instance in Club this past Monday at 7:00pm ET. Haven't had a single issue in a Drop-in, yet.

Around what time does it normally occur, and is it ongoing or stop after a bit? I only play within the hours of 7:00pm - 12:00am ET, and it's seems to be a problem every game.

Last night was one of the first nights I had regular ping in a while.

@BigBadWolfert2 entered the 11pm game at 95ms, took a penalty and it dropped to 50ms.

Maybe the solution is to start taking PIMs to reduce ping.

 

I know in club we've had games recently where randomly in the middle of a period, everyone's ping would go from like a 10-20 range to a steady 50-70. In the middle of a game for no apparent reason. Weird stuff.

I did have a LG game on 90-115 this week though. It has been an issue lately. I am on dorm internet so I couldn't tell you my provider, but I usually get a steady 20-25 ping.

 

Trust me, it doesnt work.

Ive seen it in both chall dr and reg dr. I wanna say moreso in chall dr

I play after 7pm. Ive seen it start in the 1st then calm down by the 3rd. Ive seen it start in the 1st and never come down. Usually ill start a game at 12ms and feel my screen stutter a few times and Ill know its jumped up to 65ms right away.

 

This is legit exactly what has happened to me almost every LG Game.

Provider is Telus (PureFibre) - running at 250/250 but it's normally 280/275
in game connection appears to have no issues. 50-60 on East 15-16 on West

 

LA recently played EDM. We had 3 players, including myself, lag out. One player each period. Of course we had to take penalties for these lag outs. The game became unplayable and out of our hands.

Im usually consistant at 22ms, although some games feel heavier than others. I have also experienced these same problems and lag outs in challenge DR & regular club.

Only happens in challenge club
Around what time does it normally occur, and is it ongoing or stop after a bit? I get it in the 9 and 10 games mainly and it starts happening in the 2nd period

 

Same exact thing for me. I live in New Jersey and have Comcast

Does it happen more often in LG challenge than in actual club?
I had a two week horror show in LG, normal club it seemed fine.

Around what time does it normally occur, and is it ongoing or stop after a bit?
Was every lg game for 2 weeks. By the third it was semi playable. But the first two periods it was awful 50+ ping. Now it has settled down quite a bit.

no issues whatsoever with my speedy connection of 40mbs down and 15mbs up. i play and stream and my connection is good.
