Let me ask you a question if 6 West players play 6 East players, Does it have to be played on East to make it fair?

 

And as I said I dont really mind the west lines, its more so the “I will only play on west connection lines”

 

If you wanted the game to be played how 90% of games are played then I would say yes it would have to be on east, seeing as how you and I are both accustomed to playing on east connection, that seems fair right? Whats not fair is you giving yourself an advantage on purpose by hosting the game on West, because in that situation you get better than normal ping and we get alot worse than normal ping.

You do realize that him playing on East would give you an advantage? Doesn't matter if us West coast players are "accustomed" to East connection, we're still at a disadvantage. Our players move slower and our controls are less responsive. It's a lose lose situation, either side will be getting fucked, no sense in crying about it now that you have to deal with it.

 

Am i the only person sensing a lot of irony?

 

I have never minded dealing with it, I play west games just the same as east, people who only play on West purposely are the ones usually cryig about how bad east connection is, which is why they play on west.

 

You sound like someone who has lost to a west line recently.

 

I really think you guys are missing my point, which is that EVERYONE is accustomed to east connection, because that is what a large majority of games are played on, whether you are east central or west doesnt matter because EVERYONE is used to east connection, that is just the way the GAME is made. By turning it to west, you are giving players on the west a clear advantage because NEITHER east/west players are normally playing on WEST.

With that being said, I dont care about winning or losing on west/east. I dont even really care about this debate I was simply offering some insight.

Old west: 38-48

You literally said yourself you have played 99% of your games on east, so no you wouldnt be used to be playing on west if that were the truth, correct?

 

38 west 42 east lately.

They should just get rid of the east and west servers and place them in central. Central can have under 10ms for once while east and west on 30 ish.

 

I hope EA ditches the “Network Performance” screen with NHL19.

It’s making all of us paranoid.

 

We wouldnt be having this east vs west issue if we were on old gen.
