Media Keepers of the Crease: LGAHL Season 30 Week 3 Guardians

Week 3 has been a good week for some, and a forgettable week for others. Below is the top guardians of the week, as well as those who it is never to late to retire.


Top Guardians

#1 @Darcy Kuemper - My number one goalie of the week is none other than the man, the myth, the legend himself. Going over cool $4 million, this keeper posted an impressive 6-0 week, posting an impressive .878 save percentage, 1.46 GAA, with one shutout. Looks like money well traded for by @Brisan66 and the Providence Bruins. This Keepers most impressive win comes from an impressive 6-1 win over Rochester. Posting a .941 Save %, this keeper stopped 16 out of 17 shots.

#2 @Jesus52 - My number two goalie of the week is the savior himself. This keeper walked on water all the way to a holy 4-0 week, posting an impressive .879 save %, 1.69 GAA, beating some solid team along the way. His most impressive game of the week would be a 2-1 victory over the Ontario Reign, posting 16 saves on 17 shots with an impressive .944 Save %. I'm excited to see how much this goalie can be a answer to the prayers of the San Diego fans.

#3 @IB U C IK - I know that my number 3 goalie will cause some controversy, but who cares this is my write up. This tendy not only had a perfect 3-0 week, he did it after all the haters completely destroyed him in the chat box. Posting a respectable .875 save %, and 1.89 GAA, this keeper definitely turned his first two horrible weeks around. Posting an impressive 4-3 win over a very good San Antonio team, this keeper stayed consistent throughout his 3 games this week. I'm excited to see if this was just a lucky week, or if he can continue his fantastic play in weeks to come. He makes my top 3 due to the fact he had this 3-0 week with such a horrible team in front of him.



It's Never to Late to Retire

#1 @AngryFawn368505- Our top goalie this week for my It's Never to Late to Retire is someone you usually don't see at the bottom of the standings, but YIKES he definitely deserved it this week. Going a horrendous 1-5 on the week, this keeper posted a .674 save % and 5 GAA. OOF. His most forgettable game of the week, well at least for him, is the 5-1 stomping given to him by the Springfield Thunderbirds. He posted a .545 save % in the game letting in 5 goals on 11 shots. Lets hope this goalie can turn it around next week, or this is going to be a long season for this tendy.

#2 @iTub3 - Our second goalie that if he continues having weeks like week 3, should most likely retire. Posting a 1-5 record with a .701 save % and a 4.31 GAA, After an impressive first week and a mediocre second week this goalie has gone downhill fast. His most forgettable game would be a 9-1 trouncing given to him by none other than the Cleveland Monsters. During this game he posted a .357 save % letting in 9 goals on 14 shots. WOW. Lets hope he doesn't continue this pattern or I could see him spending some time down in the CHL.

#3 @BS PAINTRAIN 19 - Our final goalie who we all thought would retire I guess hasn't learned his lesson. This tendy posted a horrible 1-2 record with a .680 save % 4.84 GAA. His most forgettable game would be a 8-3 loss to Providence, letting in 8 goals on 22 shots posting a .636 save % In his defense he does have a lot of rubber coming his way. Do we blame the Hartford defense, or is this tendy just this bad. Lets see if he rebounds next week.

Wasn’t a great week by any means. Guess it must be a oversight though that the two losses were against the top 2 teams in the AHL. Great write up!
