I think the community at times continues to have a skewed and misinterpreted view in how and what the league rules on.

So often we have members of our community start off an appeal or defend their actions with “worse things have been said” or “this guy did the same thing and got a different punishment”

Some members of the community would like to shed light on theories or thoughts of how people are treated differently and the league is bias and unfair but no one is willing to put the work in to A) find out more details on what occurred B) step up to the plate with good intentions to help run the league.

The whispers of bias and what not are a cop out that those people who don’t dig a bit deeper use to make something appear different than the reality of what it is. Media on both consoles have direct access to me to ask specific detail to get more info to make their show more factual but some chose not to go that route. Which is fine.

I think if everyone in our league for two seconds stopped and thought for a moment they all would realize that there is no cookie cutter answer or judicial process that can be applied to every situation. Often the situation itself is what dictates how things should be addressed.

When it comes to league rules and stuff it becomes more black and white. You say you quit. It’s a ban. You miss three games it’s a ban. Etc

Code of Conduct is a different beast. What is said. How it is said. Where it was said. Who said it. What was issued last time it was said. How often as this user been issued a ban? Many factors are there to consider

Then we have issues that require extensive proof in order for the league to come to conclusions and often not enough is provided or something is just “well it’s obviously” and the expectation is for us to simply issue a blind ruling and save face. We never have been a site to rule on hear say and we won’t ever go down that path because if some of the community feels there is bias in our current judicial process look at the leagues that rule on hear say....

Anyways I figured I’d chime in. Give my two cents. Unfortunate no one will read this or appreciate the level of depth I’ve provided but that’s okay. Hopefully the process will be more understood.

And for the record. Threads get locked to prevent members of our community from cross boundaries leading to violations. Sometimes things don’t require anymore explanation

When you’re driving down the road 30 miles over the speed limit and get pulled over for speeding how far is debating going to get you with a cop? Ref gives you a 2 minute minor for roughing and then 2 for chirping how much better off are you going to be continuing to run your mouth?

LG is no different than life. There are authority figures who have decisions to make. You are going to sometimes agree and sometimes disagree. But at the end of the day the authority is always going to be there and should be respected.
