    The Fred T. Hunt Memorial Award, instituted by the AHL Board of Governors during the 1977-78 season, is voted upon by the LGAHL PSN Awards comittee and honors the player best exemplifying the qualities demonstrated by Fred T. Hunt: sportsmanship, determination and dedication to hockey.

    In LG, this award is ideally meant for someone that has either been on the site a long time, and is generally a good influence/has a good impact in the community, or someone that had to deal with a shitshow all season and didn't complain/quit, or even embraced it and tried to improve the situation around them.

    One example of this comes from @TheGua2dian, after only being with Belleville for 1 week he took over management for a struggling team after the initial management team quit. Guardian was able to hold the team together until the end of the season, only FF one game after the tradeline.

    A second example is @Dynasty1989 who had to endure the entire season on the Binghampton Devils, only missing 2 games all season.

    This thread is meant to nominated a person who you feels best exemplifies what has been mentioned above. All nominations that are deemed acceptable will then be voted on by the awards committee. Please provide a short explanation to support your nomination.

    Lastly, no nominations for "insert name or insert team" because they had to deal with "insert name" all season. These will just be troll nominations.

    I nominate guardian, not a fun task rebuilding a team in the last 3 weeks of a season. And it’s tough when some guys just give up cause you lose and are out of the playoffs but he didn’t care. He just wanted to finish the season with no more ff and only ff once
