This week was kinda interesting, in the fact that i got sent to a dumpster fire of a team and theres already been a ton of trades that shake up quite a few rosters. I and im sure the rest of the Rankings team are looking forward to seeing how these trades affect and play out for this upcoming week. Here are your week 2 rankings: Top 5 Teams in Week 2: 1. New York Rangers: 8-1-0 2. New Jersey Devils: 8-1-0 3. Toronto Maple Leafs: 7-2-0 4. Washington Capitals: 6-2-0 (One game not recorded) 5. Calgary Flames: 6-2-1 Top 5 Worst Teams in Week 2: 1. Chicago Blackhawks: 1-5-1 (Two games not recorded) 2. Tampa Bay Lightning: 2-6-1 3. Arizona Coyotes: 2-6-1 4. Anaheim Ducks: 3-6-0 5. Nashville Predators: 3-6-0 From The Top: New York Rangers Week 2 Record: 8-1-0 Overall Record: 13-4-1 (1st in the Metro) The New York Rangers went into week 2 fighting for the top spot of the division with the New York Islanders, Washington Capitals and the New Jersey Devils. Facing Central and Atlantic division teams, they took the bull by the horns and ran with it. The Rangers went 8-1-0 with their only loss coming to the Colorado Avalanche (1-0). They went on to beat teams like the Minnesota Wild, St. Louis Blues and Dallas Stars. A Big contributor for their success is having the second lowest goals against in the league with 28 (tied for second with Toronto and Buffalo leading with 24). This week the Rangers went on to score 27 goals while only allowing 12 in the process. New Jersey Devils Week 2 Record: 8-1-0 Overall Record: 12-6-0 (3rd in Metro) The Metro is a tough place to live these days, especially when you have teams winning almost all of their games. The Devils are one of those teams going 8-1-0 on the week. The Devils win in a different direction than the Rangers and that is lead by the offense. They have scored a whopping 73 goals in the first two weeks of the season (leads league). This week they outscored their opponents 45 to 11, which is outstanding! Their only loss this week was a forfeit to the Colorado Avalanche. Near The Bottom: Anaheim Ducks Week 2 Record: 3-6-0 Overall Record: 7-9-2 (7th in the Pacific) The Ducks had a tough schedule playing some of the better Atlantic teams. They went on to beat Boston (2-1), Tampa (1-0) and Detroit (3-2) but lost to the likes of Ottawa (3-0), Florida (2-0) and Montreal (3-2). Their biggest problem as a team is being shut out three times in week 2. They only scored 12 goals and gave up 25. We shall see if this was an off week or if this is the path of the Ducks in the future. Nashville Predators Week 2 Record: 3-6-0 Overall Record: 7-10-1 Even though they went 3-6-0 in week 2, they should be concerned about how they got there. Their wins were against the Islanders (3-2), Flyers (9-1) and Penguins (9-1). The two blow out wins were with their top players. Those same players lost to the third line of the Rangers (3-2). When the Predators lose, they have been losing big. They lost to the Blue Jackets (6-1), Capitals (5-1) and Devils (8-0). There is starting to be some separation in the division and the Press are falling from the pact. They need to find a better system, make changes or start finding better chemistry soon or their season will be over before it begins. A little shoutout to @crofto40, @x Braydenn, @Desjy99, @xNav61, @Cage, @NoSleeves12, @Faytal_Flow, and to the one other who asked to be unnamed for doing whats asked of you to make this happen.
