The tool we use to remove a player (without a ban) is the same tool that can also apply a ban. We are aware that when a player is banned in Xbox they are also banned and removed from PSN, and vice versa.

Learning this off-season that removing a player (without a ban) also processes a removal in the Xbox league too. PSN Staff doesn't have controls to make Xbox corrections and it's been overlooked. I'm re-training myself to check for Xbox S32 sign ups and communicating with my Xbox counterparts.

    That's a positive

But there is still a question or two here - Why did the owners essentially get punished for bidding on players that were in bidding? And why was the logic used in this ruling different than the logic used in the season 8 ruling? [the logic I'm referencing is "Well if he's in bidding and is willing to play while being retired, he can play."]

This is yet another example of a ticky-tacky fuck up that was out of the control of owners but at the end of the day the owners are punished. It's these type of events that result in owners not returning and owners not returning is how you end up with idjits like Dudester on the owner list

"Well if he's in bidding and is willing to play while being retired, he can play." - This was not the original decision. In S8 we originally removed the player from bidding and from Florida's roster. However this decision came later at night, and when there was only a day left in bidding the call was reversed.

No owner or team was punished in S10. Any player removed from bidding was also removed from the finance tables so positions and salary caps were corrected. We enforced the rules and removed the ineligible players from bidding. Players and teams were notified quickly so effected teams could resume bidding.

This isn't entirely true, unfortunately. Next to available cap, the greatest commodity in bidding is time. The clock ran out on players during the time teams were committed to the players that were removed. The players aren't technically punished, but the owners definitely were. This was the wrong call.

u removed the player in s8 and then proceeded to allow him to play when there was 1 day of bidding left. but when its day 3 of s10 bidding and no one left on the board of any serious value u remove them from the teams that won them and tell them goodluck. how does that make sense.

its literally the EXACT situation same day of bidding and everything

What is the harm in letting the players who were removed, play? After all, it was a site error. Not an error on the owners or the staff but something out of anyone's control. No harm, no foul.

It's actually scary if you think no owner was punished in this situation.

Put them in ahl bidding if they want it, if not they have to wait until next season. It’s already too late to add them to nhl rosters

You do realize that teams who did not have players removed were affected by this as well. As it let other teams who lost players free up cap and up bid already teams with not alot of cap space lol. It also affected those teams that waited for these guys 10 hour timers to be up to get them on their team. Only to have them removed and lose out on other people that they could have got with that cap.

Saying it didn’t effect teams is fucking ridiculous. You clearly don’t understand how bidding works if you don’t believe this hurt teams.

A guy worth 5m in the first 36hours of bidding goes for 4-5m. A guy worth 5m after the 36 hour mark goes for 7+ because there’s less players available. You can say all you want that you handled it quickly but that doesn’t fucking matter. These teams had worked players into there plans already. These are the reasons people don’t stay as owner in this league.

If the player was in bidding who gives a fuck when they signed up, everyone that checked bidding had the ability to see the player there, it’s not like the player was only visible for certain owners. Terrible judgement call to remove these players once already won.

It seems that instead of wasting so much energy on fulfilling personal vendettas against other league members; time would be better spent by the BOGs actually running the league and understanding the impact of decisions they make. I feel bad for any owner effected by this, especially since the PSN BOGs can't even take responsibility and simply apologize.
