Yes, I know the first week is over. People are still requesting me to do the other divisions so fuck it. All my rankings are just my opinion, so week one results will not factor in. PSA: Doing these at 3am. Let's get into it. 1. Rockford Ice Hogs @KittyKing69 and @Rantallion34 return and I must say I like what they have built. Plenty of two-season contracts on this team, both forward and defense. Most of their players look very solid. The addition of @althewall to the forward corps was a good move. Could stand to improve their goaltending tandem but this team looks solid and underrated. The division is wide open, in my opinion. 2. San Antonio Rampage @BasicallyMcdavid takes over for Doer and has done a solid job up to this point. Just have to keep this team running well at a consistent pace. Love the pickup of @SliestGibbon659 for cheap. Very underrated and a good center. The defense could use improvement but it still looks very good. A contender to go deep in the playoffs as they a good amount of returning players from the Calder-winning team and they will know what it takes. 3. Grand Rapids Griffins @Red_Pepsi8 always builds competitive teams and this one will be no different. Love the GM choice in @prodigytolegend , quality player there. The defense could use some work but like I said above, weak division. Love the forward corps they assembled though. 4. Iowa Wild Ah Jean and Mustacho. Both good players to have running the team and both have great knowledge of talent. Honestly should rank yall higher but I will leave ya here. Both fun guys and know how to run a team. I expect them to do well and outperform where I have them ranked. 5. Milwaukee Admirals Don't know if they forget to bid the first day or not, but I like both the management players. Getting @cornect57 at six million was a shrewd pickup, let's just hope he can connect this season and not get an error code most nights. Goaltending tandem should be very strong as well. 6. Manitoba Moose @mikelong11 was a victim of the last day of bidding, ending at eight million. Spending the season on Manitoba! Kidding aside, @chilly007 built an alright squad. Do not know much about the forwards, other than @russianphenom16 (lives in the same town as me), so I hope they show me they are good pickups. I like the goaltending tandem. Defense is meh to me. 7. Chicago Wolves Management duo for Chicago didn't really stand a chance being picked up two days or so before the draft. I like their trio of forwards up front in @LG McDonald , @iQUAVOi , and @what9114 . I actually like their defense, particularly @Jeown , @WillardMcNasty, and @SebLaf37 . @Fox_x_80 will carry in net again. 8. Texas Stars Not generally a fan of goalies taking management. Let's be honest @TAITERx32 , you, like me, didn't want to end up four million again. Management it is. Goaltending tandem should be decent. I like @No Regretzkys on the blueline, but that's it. @iEskimo- and @TheBobbyOrr4 (despite some aids from his last season) were very good pickups at their respective prices. That's all folks!
What a difference a week makes... guaranteed we wouldn't of been in the top spot before the season began lol
3 out of my top 4 were correct, just in varying spots. Chicago and rockford my big misses so far though.
