Rule Issue regarding East vs West

It's the same as before, it just shows as double. You're just imagining the game feeling any different

 

@Nick_x_98 As much as I'd like to agree with that statement. The point of contention for me is people blatantly backing out to get their preferred west connection. I've got several clips of streaming stating exactly that. I don't think west lines are going to accommodate that thinking.

 

The latest line to do it was East... so people blaming West lines only is dumb

 

@xSS_GotEmCoach_ I'm sure it wasn't intended but that is an ignorant comment. I said the point of contention for me because its from my personal experience. I'm not saying its only West lines. Just from my experience that's the case. Let's keep the discussion constructive and not attack people personal. Cheers.

 

Thats why I said PEOPLE blaming West lines only is dumb... Its a blanket statement for those who continue to fall under that Umbrella. Its both sides not wanting to play on bad ping, because whether people want to believe it or not, the game-play heavily favors teams who are on the better connection. Can you still win? Yes. But puck pickup, goalie reaction, checking, and many other little things are effected on bad ping. So I see why its a big deal for a game that is East vs West, but it is just a video game.

 

For me Regular season should be both Teams search ANY and play on what the game considers to be the best connection. Playoffs are a little more important, and a place that Home "advantage" is real, then make it to where Home team tells Away team when to Search, and can get their connection.

 

Yeah, old gen was sort of a non issue because of the lobbies.

If the host was anything but a green bar connection, they got told to fuck off and rehost the lobby. And they did, not questions asked.

But now we're in a day and age where people live for their advantage connections, so that's why we have threads like this.
