ESHL for PSN

How did we get to this situation where guys are just like "If you want to play ESHL, gotta buy an Xbox". Rather than trying to come up with ways to get it popular on our own console.

 

Here are some issues that I can think of from past events:

Schedule: Past events had make your own schedule. It doesn’t work. You need set times. When a team that can only play until 11 goes up against a team demanding to play at 1 am, there will always be forfeits.

Entry Size: There is this thought that we need 20+ teams to run a tournament. If 6 sign up, play a small tournament with 6 teams. Good things are built up. If you think you can get a successful tournament just because of the name on it, the tournament will fail.

Commitment: No one is willing to put the time or effort into building something like this up. My younger self would be all over this. I used to run lan tournaments all the time but can’t now that I don’t have the time. We need someone who will accept the fact the first few tournaments won’t be super successful but is willing to make the proper changes and growing pains to make it successful.

Pay 2 Play: There are teams who will stack up their roster and win more than others. Most people on PSN do not want to pay in money to donate to these people’s paypals. To start, have free, small (weekend) style tournaments to build on.

Tournament Hosted By LG: If there is no money involved, LG doesn’t want to be apart of it. Got to run your own thing to try any of the above ideas.

Just some thoughts of past things that I saw were issues. Hope it helps the conversation.

If the game was more enjoyable I think the interest would be there. Pile on top of it the server issues of getting in to games we have on PSN....

 

Yes honestly error codes are the biggest obstacle right now coach. Even if there is some interest it's not going to work until that is resolved. You have a good ideas and some bad ones but it isn't worth the bother until EA finds a solution to this problem. A good point made by dyno.

 

What is this other site trying to run a tourney?

 

Nhl gamer has a new 6s league called NACL they are trying to promote seems pretty similar to ESHL

 

Idk if it's just me, but the playstyle in sweats is not very fun. You think it's bad when you match against 5 guys sitting on the line in an lg pre-season game? Just wait til there's money involved. The way people play the game is my biggest obstacle.

Yea once bad intentions signs up no other teams are gonna want to play. Just give it up. It’s been tried and tried and tried again. Club 6s is dead on ps4, along with eshl. Get a used xbox for cheap and play eshl on that.

Obviously not but unsure why you're referencing something that happened a year ago.

 

I just thought it was fairly ironic you suggested implementing a rule that would punish people that quit.

 

Suggested it to avoid further instances of people quitting halfway through the season once the hope of playoffs is dead, like we did, a year ago.

 

Well I’m still salty because if you fucks wouldn’t have quit we would have made playoffs instead of Frost who was running the league at the time. Whole thing was a fucking mess.

i think its similar to LG, they use that for Europe and they want to to do it for NA, it might be with payout or not they will check
