We are currently Looking for Defense and a Utility F/D After playing the NHL 20 Beta and really enjoying it myself and a few guys have decided to try our best to build a team and compete this year. Unfortunately people gain and lose interest in internet hockey. There are only 3 members left from our original squad but we have all played together since NHL 11 and are committed to playing all year. With a nucleus intact, even if we cycle thru other players, we can be assured that the team won't dissolve. If anyone remembers the "Yargage and the Boyz®" and "The Playbook™" days from many many moons ago, you will be happy to know that I have there is still a lot of good steel in the furnace. I have finally decided to finish my life's work and complete "The System™", despite the ridicule that will come from being a student of the game of hockey. When compiling "The System™" after the Beta, I ran into a thread I made on LG, on Google, while researching forechecks. The above quote from the 2015 thread, in which people called me and idiot, shows who was truly right all along. For those that are unaware, the 1-1-3 was the system that what the talk of the town when Washington won the cup. Several teams have all adapted it, making it twice as popular as the 1-3-1 which was all the rage at the time that I came up with my idea for the 1-1-3 independently. The point of this reference is to assure you that I understand the Team Strategy aspect of Hockey. If you have watched the top E-Sports teams play, it is easy to see that many of them loosely run a system. They might not have a name for their strategy but they implement the things that put them in the best position to win. With the modern marvel that is Discord, we have been able to create a team server that has Diagrams, Animated Gifs, along with Videos, of the different elements that make up our system, using specialized Hockey Playbook Software. This will allow anyone who plays with us to easily digest the tasks we are trying to get accomplished on the ice, avoiding the whole starting from scratch issue we went thru in NHL 19 when people stopped playing and having to rebuild chemistry with replacements. Now don't get me wrong, Individual Skill is a gigantic part of Internet Hockey but being on the same page as your teammates has shown to be a big part of winning as well. We are looking to add players to our team who want to try to compete at the highest level of their ability. Players who are willing to play a structured game of hockey. Players who understand that Hockey IQ and Positioning can make every action on the virtual ice easier. Players who want to play nightly with a group of guys that they can call their teammates. This post was structured to be both satire to some extent as well as 100% serious. If you are looking to take your game to the next level, contact me via PM. TLR NHL is Back!
