    Player Power Rankings Week 1

It was an exciting first week to start of Season 21 of the LGBA, with old rivalries coming back to the forefront and new rivalries starting to bubble up we are in store for an action packed, shit talking, demi god accusing (time will tell if everyone keeps averaging all these steals when it gets fixed), eventful season. So here is what the league is look at where everyone is stacking up.

    PG:

    1. VenomOnFire- After finishing 2nd in MVP voting last season Venom is out for some hardware this year. He leads all PGs in PPG and is 2nd overall in the whole league. He is also the only starting PG who is still undefeated going 4-0 with 2 games against the Bulls and Kings and the other 2 against bottom dwelling Knicks and Thunder.

    2. D Andoo99- 3-1 record with their sole loss coming to conference rival Denver Nuggets top line, leads all PGs in steal by a HUGE amount and is 2nd in PPG (27.8 vs 28) 2nd in APG (11.5 vs 11.8) and has the 2nd least TOPG. D Andoo has heard the shade being thrown and has come out swinging.

    3. Beta Dreams: Former League MVP Beta didn’t like where his team was placed after bidding and has taken names of those who didn’t believe in them. He’s currently averaging a double double with his league leading 11.8 APG showing he isn’t just the 1 dimensional scorer many people thought.

    4. Im Tom- Tom is one of the most lethal shooters in the league shooting 65.9% FG% and 66.7% from 3PT. Tom is 4th among PG in PPG at 23.5 and although his offensive shooting splits are incredible he does average under a 2:1 Assist-Turnover ratio which is the worst of all PGs listed.

    5. OG Grandpapa- He is averaging 24 PPG and 7.7 APG while only committing 2 turnovers a game. He is the focal point of the Nuggets offense and one of the toughest guys to guard in the league. His 3pt FG% is low tho and if he wants to move up this list he is going to have to start hitting those at a higher clip. He is also averaging 3 SPG and looks locked in on both ends of the floor typically guarding the other teams PG

    SG:

    1. FlaccoOnFire- Leading the league in PPG while also leading his team to the #1 spot in the western conference Flacco has been on fire. He is hitting at 67.9% from the field and averaging a staggering 4.7! SPG. This spot was very close between 1 and 2 but I had to give the nod to the guy who is leading the league in scoring and the only player at 30+ppg.

    2. Im just a Squid- No surprise here, squid id one of the premier talents in the LGBA and has been since day 1. Leading all SG in steals with 4.8 per game while averaging 24.8 PPG while shooting 70% from the field. Squid has ran some games as the primary PG which is why his assist numbers are so much higher than the rest of the field.

    3. Sam F N Stacks- The 3rd member of Houston’s Big 3 had good splits at 18.5 ppg/ 3 APG/ 2.8 SPG but his shooting was lackluster having the lowest FG% of all the SG on this list. He’s a player everyone knows tho and likely game planned for.

    4. ThatGreenieKid- Averaging 24 ppg on the raptors 2nd unit is huge bringing some scoring off the bench. He also shot 81%! From the field and 80% from 3 which may be the highest non big % in the league. He may be looking for some larger minutes to really show what he’s capable of and get the respect he deserves.

    5. Swift Solstice- Im going off the board here a little with this pick. The kid gets a ton of flak in the CB because he’s always active and opinionated but he came out and balled this week. With a positive record and a 24.7 ppg average swift has shown he can be a key contributor to a team. I’ve watched a few of his games and he is sort of 1 dimensional on offense but with more reps in real games I think he will expand his bag of tricks.

    SF

    1. Mixer Roitman- After getting non-stop harassed by a few others in management Roitman has shut the naysayers out leading his team to the best record in the east and helping his line go to 4-0. Averaging 17 PPG and 2.7 SPG Roitman is doing his fair share to contribute but his leadership is what this team leans on the most from him.

    2. Raynor- Although his team struggled out the gate, Raynor continues to put up impressive numbers against good teams. At times it has looked like the team became reliant on him to create offense taking 12 shots, 13 shots and 17 shots in his first 3 games. What is more impressive tho is that he is making them hitting at a 79.2% clip from the field. He continues his reputation as a defensive stopper as well grabbing 2.3 steals per game although his “matchup” seems to be scoring at will nightly it may be because of the system that OKC has in place where he isn’t actually guarding the opposing teams SF.

    3. Mferra32- After finally making it to his friends team Mferra has been lighting up the scoresheet. If his quality of competition was higher he would be in the #2 spot on this list but his 2 biggest games have been against teams that let up a lot of points. You can’t argue tho that Ferra is a bucket getter and in a relatively weak SF class he is one of the most consistent offensive weapons after week 1.

    4. LockDownJesus: Owner of the 1st place Kings, Lockdown (contrary to his name) has created one of the league’s most dynamic offenses. In the 3 games he played his team scored 81, 98 and 62 points respectfully with Lockdown averaging 17.7 per game. The fact that he has yet to attempt a 3 pointer all season is something to take note of but he is still scoring 75.8% from inside the arc while averaging more assists than any other SF on this list with 4 APG.

    5. Easy Macaroni: The same reason Mferra didn’t make the #2 spot is the reason Mac made the #5. His numbers aren’t jaw dropping (although he averaged the most assists and blocks of any other SF on this list) his competition level has been high playing the Bulls, Nuggets, Bucks and Sixers. His usage rating dropped off against the Bulls and Nuggets tho and that could be some area for concern but overall Mac is playing the role they envisioned for him.

    PF:

    1. EverythingisNike: The #1 PF this week is Nike. Although none of the PF really lit the world on fire Nike was the best of them all. Having good splits against the Nuggets, Lakers and Wolves this week he averaged 16.7 PPG, 5 RPG, 7.3 APG! And 4.3 SPG. He was an all-around beast and really was a key cog to the kings early season success.

    2. Beta Evolution: After ALL the flak I got about “Beta is a center your rankings are wrong” guess where he ended up lining up this week. Yea, crickets much? Anyways Beta had a 4-0 week with the nets and although his numbers weren’t staggering he played his part averaging 11 PPG and shot 72%

    3. Its Froggy: One of 3 PF that played 4 games and averaged over 10 PPG. Looking a little deeper into Froggy’s stats the are a little bit inflated after scoring 34 against the magic in a route but stats are stats and that statistical drop off past #3 mean that its impossible to ignore what Froggy was able to do in week 1. Averaging 16.8 PPG and shooting 68.3% while playing the Buck, Nuggets and Rockets is impressive.

    4. Lx drew xl: Drew didn’t put up the points others did in his position at first glance but a deeper look shows his 4.3 SPG and win against the raptors was impressive even if it was their second line.

    5. AEC Papi: Posted an impressive win against the Bulls and came away with solid splits of 13.3 PPG, 7 RPG while only turning it over 3 times all week. His shooting percentage for a big isn’t great but averaging nearly double the amount of PPG of the next guy on my list was the deciding factor.

    C:

    1. NikeOnFire: Nike was one of 2 centers to average over 15 RPG while going 4-0 and posting a double-double. He also is getting 5 APG and nearly 2 BPG which is enough to snag him the #1 spot this week

    2. Spot Jr: This was a tough one because Spot has the #’s that he should be in the #1 spot but only playing 2 games with 1 being against a mixed matched nuggets lineup he could arguable be lower on this list as well. I’m going to take it at face value though and put him at the #2 spot because 23PPG/17.5RPG/6.5APG/3BPG is tough to ignore

    3. Slampson: Another Double-Double Machine averaging 12.8PPG and 11.3 RPG Slamps is clocking in here at #3. Another close one with him and our #4 being almost neck in neck but I’m giving the nod to Slampson because of his overall defensive #’s. 4 SPG is huge and leads all big men on this list. It’s safe to say the Bulls struck gold with this RA.

    4. Coach Denham: Another former MVP of the league starting out strong with a 3-1 record averaging a double-double with 11 PPG and 12.8RPG.

    5. YAS1K: Averaging only 4 PPG hurts but the 12.8 RPG is admirable. Where YAS1K really shines is on the defensive side of the floor averaging 3.5 BPG and 3.5 SPG with a combined 7 defensive stops he’s an early season favorite for DPOY
