Why Ranked #1?: This Colorado Avalanche team has found a way to build three solid lines. Their first line is the famous forward west line that tends to easily put up over 20 wins per season, and their second line has Theos, Lab and Jxsse on it. Their weakness definitely lies on the defensive side of things, but I expect them to be able to overcome that and claim 1st in their division with a pretty deep team. The third line is also solid with Embryo and Nick on it. Embryo claimed a 15-9-3 record in Detroit last season, yet somehow managed to remain 500k.

Why Ranked #2?: Minnesota had a bajillion top picks in the first round of this seasons draft where they picked Basi #1 overall, traded for Stokes and Dumo, drafted Snxpzy and then finally drafted RLCO. This team also picked up my favourite LD in FoxPresentation through bidding. It will be quite the interesting Minnesota squad to watch and I could see them range anywhere from 2-4 in the division, but I definitely like the way that they have currently set their lines up and can see some good things happening this season for Mr. Spray.

Why Ranked #3?: MrPurpleCrush is back again and he looks to have built another strong team. I see Minnesota, Arizona and Dallas all competing in a pretty tight race for those coveted playoff positions, but I feel like Arizona and Dallas are neck and neck. With three deep forward lines and a few notable defensemen, I would vote that Arizona is happy with their post-bidding squad. If Cody can make a few moves throughout the season to help build some more firepower up front, I see this team going the distance in the playoffs.

Why Ranked #4?: MikeyD! Arises from under Bo with a pretty solid bidding performance. I really like his first two lines, but absolutely hate his third line (Sorry). Having Nana and Alans on the first line with Frank and Syko on the 2nd will be a pretty solid one-two punch... especially with a solid top 4 on the back end. I think if Mikey can do the opposite of what Cody has to do and deal for some 3rd-line depth throughout the season, the Stars could do some damage.

5. Winnipeg Jets

Why Ranked #5?: This is where the skill-gap takes place in this division. In my opinion, Winnipeg has actually put together a pretty decent roster, with two underrated goalies whom can help the team compete for one of the top 3 spots in the division. I believe their 1st line is a little weak, but also believe that they are immensely better than Nashville, St. Louis and Chicago. Should be interesting to see where the Jets sit at the end of the season.

Why Ranked #6?: This team isn't terrible. They have who can definitely manage centering the first line and they have Troy centering the second line with Landamov on his wing, which will give them quite a bit of depth on offense. The only issue with Nashville is defense. They don't really have a first pairing with TML and Jake, yet their 2nd pairing is only a decent 2nd pair. This team can do well this season if they make a few moves to improve their D-Core. In net, the team looks pretty decent so I'm looking forward to seeing if iCall can steal a few games for them when they need it.

Why Ranked #7?: There are a ton of players on this team that I get along with quite well, but they are just way too overpaid. Apologies for this @frite069, but being paid what you're paid is a bad look for a team, especially with Matt also being overpaid quite dramatically. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to bash St. Louis or anything, as there are a few depth pieces on the roster that I like quite a bit, but I don't believe this team will compete with any other team in the Central other than Chicago.

Why Ranked #8?: As much as I've tried to help out Paw by helping him grab a chill dude to GM for him in Reincremation, and trading Gouu over to him so he can have a reliable AGM... I can't rank his team higher than last in the division. HorrorSeen and Reincremation are NOT a 2nd NHL pairing, and his first line forwards-wise will not be able to compete with some of the 2nd lines in this league. It's unfortunate, but sometimes it's difficult to get a start as a manager in LG. I think we see this with Paw's team after bidding. I hope you can prove my thoughts wrong and contend in this league.

You're the best defenceman on the team and you're 2 games above .500 on your career through 5 seasons. I don't think that statement is terribly out of line.

It's annoying to see how much importance people on lg give to stats to rank players, even points are highly relative to who you play with, and who you play against.

 

These little feuds is what fuels me to keep writing these articles! I love watching people get butt-hurt about rankings that are usually completely inaccurate.
