I thought I would do this a bit differently. I started my original write up and my computer died (classic) - then when I came back to it the bidding boards were gone. I have put together an all star team - with the most valuable contracts at each position - these are not necessarily the best at their position, but the most valuable in relation to their cap hit.

Criteria for All Star Team

- Player's value exceeds the price of the contract
- D and C are positions where I think overspending is acceptable
- Player have had proven success at the level that matches their value

ALL STAR TEAM

LW - @rat48181 (Hyper) $7.5m

This is a steal for Hyper. Last season he bounced around a bit and never really got settled in with a line, but still had 20+ wins and 90 points. He is a dominant player in the AHL - there aren't many forwards that can create as much offence as him.

C - @BaldingUncle (BBegrand) $6.5m

Letting baby boi baddie Ben go for 6.5 will be a regret for alot of GM's I'm sure. The Center pool wasn't very deep this season, which is why the predicted top teams (CHA/MIL) going into bidding having 3 centers already will make a huge impact on the season. This might not be as easy to see if you don't know Uncle Ben since he hasn't played forward since S9, but he is an NHL C who will no doubt supply you 20 wins.

RW - @Gumba l11l $5.25m

I have to give credit to the Sound Tigers, this is a very good contract. Getting a top line winger for under 6m is a win. Gumba dominated the PSN AHL a couple years ago, and has always been a very consistent Xbox player. Fun stat: In the last 5 seasons in Xbox AHL - Gumba hasn't won less than 17 games. Sign this guy to a multi.

LD - @Toba_Made $2.5m

This one is a bit different than the rest. I think Toba (Pearl19) is the best value among the D contracts for this season. To me, hes still a 2nd line defenceman in this league, however 2.5 for that spot is amazing value especially in this years bidding. We saw overpay after overpay especially on LD and getting a 20 win d man who is going back to the same owner who he had his great season with a steal.

RD - @Zwigggy_ $7.75m

Expensive? yes. Is this the money you pay for the best d man in the AHL? Also yes. Zwiggy is a proven NHL defenseman who I think would have went for more in their bidding. Top line NHL D man going for under 8 mil is a very good contract. The main concern for Ontario is after this they went heavy on 2 other forwards, so we will see how the 500k army shapes up when the season gets going.

G - @Multipl_Scorgsm $0.5m

People must have forgot about this guy (including me). Had a dominant S11, then signed up late S12, but somehow slipped through the cracks in bidding this year. Solid starting goaltender for 500k while some absolute bot power sliders went for 1.5 plus? Good work Admirals.

Greggy is a LD and I try not to hype up my guys when i post lol regardless of what I think don't wanna be bias

 

His contract is good. I think it's what he should be paid, I was more looking at guys that will outperform the price, which he very well could. It was close, in my original post i talked him up before it got deleted. Can't get everyone!

 

Rat has made it so much easier for me back here on defense, I can just sit back and relax while they score!
