    We are seeing an increase in the number of teams that are using the "female" player, and using the initiate fight to get a jump off the draw. I've asked EA to see if this was something that was giving a "speed" burst and the results didn't really support it.

    Personally, I don't think this causes a speed burst I think it just negates ANY incidental contact on the one side which creates less friction allow the one skater the ability to get to the puck sooner.

    I also think it adds to the face-off meta more, because now we are seeing it used as a "fake" tie up.

    As a competitive community so we outlaw this during league games?

    How would you even enforce it? It's stupid, but the game is the game. We let people run into goalies and poke goals in that sat "covered" for minutes.

    Maybe do something about it if its still in NHL 21...
    Its getting late in NHL20 to change the rules imo.

    Just make a rule that if you wanna spam Y off the draw you need to be a female character, stop all these dumb fights cause you want your guy to have some grey mustache and cornrows

    That's kinda supposed to be a sim game ... I'm all about to do our best to try to have this game as close as a real hockey game as possible and neglate thing are just there just to gain an advantage because 'game mechanics'

    It definitely gives a speed burst. I can clearly tell difference when I do and don’t do it as a d man. With that said, it would be hard to enforce and isn’t worth banning at this point IMO

    Put a rule to have only male players I guess.
    I ask to fight at every faceoff and will always does, I dont give a shit about the speed or whatever, I just want a fight.
