Just save yourself the headache now. If this thread is any indication it should show you players aren't going to take you serious nor respect you. Just stay in the AHL where you have success and a fighting chance before the season starts.

Not trying to be a dick I'm just being honest. Why leave the AHL where you're a decent/good manager to come to the NHL where you're already starting at a disadvantage? Your chances of being competitive in the NHL are a fraction of what they are in the AHL and we need good managers at all levels

 

I know I have the skill to play and manage in this league. I see where your coming from but this is something I'm potentially exploring.

 

From a managing perspective you are totally spot on. However I’ve played with Broom a few times this season and I can definitely say he deserves an NHL roster spot... and if he wants to manage and gets approved then who cares? We’ve had people in management roles (and still do) that aren’t even worth a roster spot in the NHL.

 

Broom had more success than @MiikeScott did Managing in the AHL and Mike and Broom are both 3rd line caliber. So what makes Mike ok and Broom not?

That being said he would be better off as a 500k paid AGM and run the team that way.
