Potentially need a GM

Nobody tell @HNZ Prince that in his first year in bidding, MikeScott and Broomball could be two of the owners

More often than not these teams do not do well. Sure there are a few cases but it's rare. He's setting himself up for failure because it'll not only be hard for him to find a GM worth the free contract but a lot of players simply aren't going to want to play for a manger who would be 500k in nhl bidding. He's far better off being a cheap paid agm and help build a team that way.

 

Just some honest feedback here - I don’t think anyone is trying to be a dick. Having experience as a player in the NHL is far more important that having management success in the AHL.

Since everyone likes to make the Mike Scott comparison. He played in the NHL, formed some friendships, and gained some respect (I would have GM’d) for him this season and would have not even answered him prior to it.

You do not need to have the $6-8m player value to be a good manager, but you do have to be like and form some relationships at the level. Good luck.
