Congrats to the teams advancing to the quarter finals! People have been asking for more media, and since Palm Springs slapped us around for six games last round my schedule has unfortunately opened up. Hartford Wold Pack vs. Hershey Bears On paper, Hershey is the more dominant team. I would expect @Catigory and his line to heat up this round to even out their playoff record, as well as expecting @iamchillson to start getting in the way of a few shots. Hershey has a lot of veteran forwards that I think are going to tee off this series. To make this a competitive series, Hartford is going to have to trap hard and capitalize on opportunities that are presented. Prediction: Hershey in 5 Belleville Senators vs. Toronto Marlies I think this is going to be a very competitive series. Toronto made a lot of solid moves throughout the season and have built a very sound team. For Toronto to take down Belleville, they're going to have to have an entire towel rack next to them while in the defensive zone and make quick plays on the offensive zone. I expect @AbailG93 @MattAdoresDanna and @xB-Red94 to have done homework on the Marlies like they always do, to find the weaknesses in each line. Marlies have a very good defensive core, who break the puck out very well which I think will lead to a lot of good chances and their best bet to win. My advice to Marlies, is don't look at your phone inbetween puck drops. Every faceoff has some sort of scoring play involved directly after puck drop. Play solid D and prove everyone wrong! Prediction: Belleville in 7 Chicago Wolves vs. Milwaukee Admirals These two teams are probably the most equal lineups of any teams still in it, along with their play styles. When @Not Greggy and @TheBobbyOrr4 's lines play each other, it's going to come down to which LD can control the offense zone better as much of their offense is run through them. I expect @Lafontaine-_ to have about 15 bizarre snipes that always go in somehow from the right boards, and @Astrrro-_7 to heat up as well. For this series to to be won, it's going to definitely come down to goaltending as both teams are offensive powerhouses. Prediction: Wolves in 7 Palm Springs Firebirds vs. Henderson Silverknights Palm Springs are severely underrated. My best advice to Henderson is don't get frustrated on defense. Palm Springs doesn't make very many costly errors, and makes you play the game they want it to be played. Their top line traps hard, while the other two forecheck into a trap. Their first line plays together frequently and has a ton of chemistry. With Henderson, they have a lot of veteran players that understand the flow of the game and don't get frustrated easily. If their availability allows for their regular lines to play together they have a great chance at making this a close series. Both top lines are very strong, but I think with Henderson's line 1 being used to having high scoring games they may get heated with lack of scoring opportunities. leading to a mistake which could be the deciding factor of line 1v1. For line 3 I can see my guy @SeanieMack heating up and having a huge series. Prediction: Firebirds in 6 I know some of the teams I predicted losing will be salty over it; but I assure you I truly don't care. Thanks, and I hope this was a decent write up.
great write up @zKoivu im excited to sweat my nuts off vs this gross marlies team hoping ur prediction is right
