a Top line FWD in LG goes for 8 to 10M at least and for Dman it goes from 7 to 9M and a top G could go from 1.5 to 2.5M
Good idea but players get better and worse as the years pass, so that wouldn’t really work. Has to be a set price around the league in my opinion
I like the owner reset it’s clearly what is the best for the league and try to not have catastrophic season for some players. The only problem I see about agm is there will be a lot of stacked team and it won’t fix the problem about having a huge skills gap. There’s no way the league will find 96 players worth a free contract (or take a paycut) and are similar on skills gap. Owners reset should happen and it’s great but having an agm might not be the best scenario
6-7 million for paid AGM tops. 32 teams x 2 free contracts would be 64 free contracts of top tier talent ( hopefully ) After that is set, don’t think think there will be another 32 players worth 6-7 million. 7 million meets in the middle from what is was in the past ( 6 million) 28 million to fill the rest of your roster sounds fair. It’s a reasonable price for the lower tier Owners/GM to have a AGM that isn’t way overpaid. Given the ammount of people that are “ Do NOTHING GM” I think the owner having another player to help run the team is a bonus.
Could maybe have some type of ranking on contracts and seperates top players from 2nd lines and fringe 1st, kinda like a tier list??
Paid AGM should be a set price. If you use an average salary or last salary there’s too many variables - Xbox / psn contracts, ahl contracts, players that had a low contract then got really good, etc. You’re also letting these shitty owners that you want to get rid of dictate some people’s agm contract in this case (since a lot of bad contracts come from bad owners). We have had guys go for 13-14m which wouldn’t be fair to them. If you want to have prior contract come into play, I suggest highest contract in bidding but cap it at 6-8m. For example, if a persons highest salary was 1.5m, they can take Agm at that price, but if their highest contract was 14m, they would get the max 6-8m whatever it is. I still think there’s too many issues with factoring in prior contracts, but that is my suggestion if the league decides to go that way. We want to incentivize top talent to play, and there’s really no benefit to them taking their max contract in a lot of cases. (I think you’d see managers hunting for steal contracts for Agm)
Stop stealing what I just said damnit, lol jk completely agree PAGM's have to be a set price, and there is where the attraction is for top players.
Ok, but would Pagm be tradable? If yes, if I was a top player, I would get the "salary cap discount" and ask a trade after to go on a top team...
Should this count only as your highest Lghl contract? or highest ever? Im sure a lot of guys who went for 7 mill in the A wouldnt be crazy about this if theyve only gone for 2-3 in the N
FYI if you make every paid AGM salary the exact same you might as well just make them all 0 too since you have the same affect on the roster/cap. (Other than reducing the amount available for bidding by whatever each “paid” AGM is set to).
If you’re going to comment dumb shit, please read everything before you do. We very clearly mentioned it would be an option to have a pAGM since some guys struggle to even find a GM as is.
