Event Eligibility

• Players must live in either: Canada or USA
  
• ALL Players must be 18+ as of Dec 2nd 2022
  
• The team must have at least 6 players on their LG roster by Jan 4 2023 at 11:59 AM Eastern
• NHL 23 (Next Gen). This event is cross play. The entire team must be on the same console.
  
• Server Selection is "Leaguegamings Server Selection Policy"
• If you are a Canadian citizen and playing for a top team make sure you have a valid passport for March

Event Dates

This event is switching to the Wed/Thrs esports format. You will play one BO3 series vs a team each night. All game times are defaulted at 21:00 Eastern.

• Series 1 - Wed Jan 4
• Series 2 - Thrs Jan 5
• Series 3 - Wed Jan 11
• Series 4 - Thrs Jan 12
• Series 5 - Wed Jan 18
• Series 6 - Thrs Jan 19
• Series 7 - Wed Jan 25
• Series 8 - Thrs Jan 26
• Series 9 - Wed Feb 1
• Series 10 - Thrs Feb 2
• Playoffs Round 1 - Wed Feb 8 - BO5
  
• Playoffs Round 2 - Thrs Feb 9 - BO5
  
• Playoffs Round 3 - Wed Feb 15 - BO5
  
• Playoffs Semis - TBA
• Playoffs - Finals TBA

Event Format

• Swiss Style. Each week in the regular season you will match-up vs a similarly skilled team to play a best of 3 series. (10 matchups)
• The top 32 teams make the playoffs (best vs last, reseed each round).
  
• The playoffs are BO5. Semi's and finals TBA

Changes from previous events

• Games are moved from Sundays to Wed & Thrs
• 10 regular series matchups vs 8
  
• Cross play and open to ps5 teams

Is the Contenders division introduced right away or is it implemented later into the event like it was for Ducks ?
