Anyone interested in testing out a setting just to see what they thing tonight at 9 pm EST? I was thinking we could try out: At 9 pm EST Daytona Laps - 50% Pits - x2 Damage - On Flags - Yellow Only Speed Comp - Off It would be interesting to see how this particular set up works. I would be interested to see how many people make it to the end of the race, etc. At 10 EST Daytona Laps - 50% Pits - x2 Damage - Off Flags - Yellow Only Speed Comp - On I really think if we can race these two situations on the same track, we will be able to see how it effects the field and then people would have something to comment about. Hopefully we can get some particiaption in each of these so we can test out these settings for a direct compare. WE want to have fun, so lets see what it is. We could always mess with Damage On and Speed Comp On at a later time as well as Damage On and Speed Comp Off. Just figured we needed to start somewhere and get the ball rolling with better grasp on exactly what this does to the racers in the game as a whole. I can do the 10:00 most likely. The 9:00 race I'm not sure about. Depends what the wife wants to do or when she falls asleep. :razz:
Wish I could help but I've already got a long 140 lapper scheduled for 10PM, with practice at 9:30. The race should last about hour to hour and half. If something happens and we end up not racing or if I decide to skip it, I'll make sure to hit ya up. btw, are you sure you can get 50% Daytona race done in 1 hour? Especially with yellow flags? Just wondering, not sure how long it'll take.
WOW! That 9 o'clock race was GREAT! I dominated the field early, lapping everyone but Marauders, then a couple cautions flew, and I got cocky and started bump drafting everyone and their mom. Then I was stuck behind a wreck that tore my car up and my speed was never the same. Great race all around, and for the 4 of us who finished it I think I can speak for us all in saying it was a blast. My suggestion would be to keep the same settings and add speed comp. Or keep these settings, as it is proof that in a long race anything can happen. I was dominating early, but wound up slightly in 2nd at the end.
damnit! wish I had seen this earlier! Any racing happening tomorrow? I picked my game up today, still havent tried it though... Been busy playing Grid, lol.
I'll be on through out the day today and tonight. Since I lost my profile, I gotta get everything else other then my speedway car up to speed.
It sure was a blast. Had fun bump drafting with you guys. Can't believe I pulled off the win after running 3rd most of the race. Well have to do it again. Great race guys!
