id be intersted, how does it work though? i dont want to get in over my head with too many leagues. is it scheduled matches a ta certain time or whenever you can play, etc?

 

i'm interested if its group play and not singles

 

does anyone have any experience running a golf league

what's the 411? who's running this thing? when are we starting up?

i dont even need LG scoreboard support (although it would be nice). just a simple shared Google spreadsheet to keep track of scores and team standings would suffice. just wanna play good matches with you peeps and B.S. on the links.

 

IDK I mean I could do the spreadsheet and everything have a weekly tourney depending on how many want to join.. Scoreboard would be great to have.. I think demon would be a good candiate to run the league but I know hes busy running a bunch of different leagues. Anyone have any suggestions?? I woudlnt mind running it but I am a noob here so just let me know would love to have some matches against you guys. Some weeks depening on the size we could do a stroke play maybe a nine hole match play or whatever.. REally would like to see this go somewhere

 

Yeah, I would like to see like 2-3 teams. I'd say just name 2 captains or something (the 2 guys who run the league would be Captains) and create an official sign up thread soon. Obviously we can't do that until we have Mod's of the league or whatever. We could just switch up the game type every night or just play 3-4 different game types and you give 1 point for each game you win. So say we played Skins, Alternate Shot, and Stableford, you would get a point for whichever one you win and obviously whoever has more points at the end of all the games is 1st in the standings. Then there would be a championship game. I would love to help run it but I don't know how everything would work out just yet.

 

i am very interested in a gold league. I just rented this game and while it is no links 2004 its by far the best tiger woods game to date. should be getting the game very soon, end of sept at the latest.

 

this game is amazing, im up for whatever is run.

 

Interested...and agreed it should be run almost like a Ryder Cup with different game modes every match and using created golfers with no super Elvis/Space suits.

Yeah what I said was basically stolen off of your idea. When you said it over xbl I thought it was a genious idea so I just put it out there.

 

Okay... So your saying we can have two teams.. Then there could possibly have a however many week competition.. Then maybe the last few weeks have a fedex like thing have double points or soething like that.. Give me some ideas and we could have a vote on what the majority likes most then we could present our case to the admins

 

Yeah we could roll with 2, maybe even 3 teams. Only reason for 3 is, if there is a ton of members not everyone on a team would get to play a lot with only 2 teams. But yeah a Cup playoff at the end would be sick. You should make seperate threads with polls, caniac. Ask Format questions like : How many weeks in regular competition? Should we have a Cup playoff week? How many teams and what type of games. Obviously these would be in all different threads.
