So for those who have the NXE, what are your thoughts on this new update? What do you like, or dislike? Anything you miss from the old system? And any other general thoughts or comments
i got the message saying it will be up for me tommorrow, but it wont do me any good. I have absouletly 0 games right now. my NHL broke, and i got no other games at the moment. so im stranded till friday
I got it yesterday, its okay but not amazing. Installing games is great though, my NHL 09 has that circle scratch so it ran slow sometimes but now after install it runs so smooth, even better then when I first got it. BTW I didn't see that Canada shirt you have for your avatar, I want it now lol
NXE is pretty sweet. nice looking, fast. new pop-up guide is great too. NXE "friends" section SUCKS. total waste. much easier to use pop-up guide. and avatars are lame. i wasn't even going to make one, but the blank silhouette here and on my MyGamerCard.com sig is even lamer.
Damnit!! I like the new look but the update seems to have made it so I can't play videos from my External hd through my xbox anymore. It says I need an update which I already had and when i click download update it says update unavailable. WORST! Hopefully they address this soon. Edit:Fixed now....so it's only awesome. :mrgreen:
I love the update because it got me to try NetFlix. I am now addicted to it. I can now go back and catch up on season one of 30 rock. I was hoping microsoft would **** it up so people would move to ps3. but this netflix deal is huge for both parties, even if sony made it so some movies wouldnt work. *slow applause*
I like the ability to install the games to your harddrive. I dont like anything else. Things are not as streamlined and readily available such as the friends like Murph was talking about.
its ok for me. i need lots of time to get in to the new things ...hehehe. this option to install your games to HD is i think a cool feature. although MS is trying to sell their HD to the consumers but i think this will be the trend. maybe, just maybe, you dont need retailers to sell us the games, just D/L it just like some old pc games
The "party" worked really well for EASHL team play, ussually we have to try all sorts of bs it make sure we can hear each other, wonder where the other guy is after the game. I really like the Upload to Hard-drive feature. Genius. I like the old freinds list, it looked better, was customizable, (different blade designs) now it is just plain. The "virtual freinds list" is un efficient , i dont see any1 using that, except if you are really into seeing avatar characters. Im sure the avatar things will have a use in the future. I think the Presentation was thought of over the convenience. I usually dont blend into change well, so ill probally like everything in a month or so
