Well, I found out today that I passed my promotion exam I took back in March. So I will be getting promoted to Staff Sergeant (E-5). I didn't think I would pass since this was my first time testing and a lot of people don't pass until their 2nd or 3rd year testing. All in all today was a good day!
Yes sir, I get an increase in my base pay, as well as a pay increase for my BAH (basic allowance for housing). I get extra money every month to live off base. Its a good deal.
