depends who gets the first overall pick
i think every owner has in their mind who their ideal first pick would be, and it wont be the same guy for everyone
most of the time, its a friendship pick, cuz most people believe in dependability and who they are comfy with
i know alot of the latest talent will not scout with me, mostly cuz they don't know me or have fulfilled there minimum scoutin requirements and choose not to do more. if a guy doesn't scout with me, 99.9% of the time, i won't take a chance on em, let alone a first-sixth rounder. i want my top picks to be dependable, loyal, and to be leaders. i usually draft my team captains with my first picks.
i don't draft a player on a players reputation alone!

the way i see stuff is thats exactly the question that needs to be asked i dont plan on being the firs pick lol but i see some good players that wont be picked because friends or players that they are familiar with will go first
