NHL 15 Demo opinions?

who cares. NHL 15 for xbone will never be used on this website. only next gen review that matters is the NHL 16 demo next august.

I'm sure they made it this way, but i felt that the demo was way too easy.

 

Can you link us to that information? I know they've stated multiplayer collision will be on the 360 version. The fact that they worded it different "12 player collision" for the X1 & "Multiplayer" for the 360 was the only way they could define it for X1 without telling people too early there wasn't an EASHL for the X1.

Obviously & technically, 2 people could be a multiplayer collision but they also go on to explain the physic evolving too. By what I've read I truly believe we will see the full collision players they've advertised.

 

Before anyone posts anything like: "the skating seems smoother" or "goalies move quicker side to side" etc., they should go play some offline nhl 14 with the game speed up. It'll probably feel great too. That's the problem with the skating engines in the recent games. They're affected by lag pretty badly and the demo hides it.

Yeah, apparently I'm full of shit, sorry about that. Someone told me yesterday in a party that they "hated those new right stick dekes so I turned it off in the settings." Assumed he was telling the truth until I got on today to try and turn it off myself and browsed through the controller settings and couldn't find anything... unless he was talking about hybrid controls or something weird.

It might be a bit too early for this still but I've played a hell of a lot of games now in the demo and can't remember a single "stupid EA Sports" goal yet. They happened all the time in NHL 14 - some crappy backhand from the point with no deflection going in - or some really weak shot from the boards going five hole... Skaters have ridiculous aim (especially that backhand) but completely dumb goals? It hasn't happened yet for me which gives me high hopes. Has anybody else noticed this? I'm hoping it has to do with the puck physics since there doesn't seem to be any ice tilt that I could see. (Although I could be wrong.)

 

Probably going to end up picking up 15 for the one at some point. Definitely not a midnight release title for me this year, but I am having enough fun with it. It won't have me addicted like older NHL's unfortunately.

Not sure if I feel like pumping in hours upon hours to level up my guy on 15 for 360, but it depends on the gameplay. I will wait till someone who has played it can tell us for sure.

One of the top things I liked was the puck physics, shooting, backhands (Hopefully an attribute for that because it seems crazy good.) and I definitely like the skating a alot more. The auto dekes are going to drive me up the wall, or at least till I get used to them.

Of course.. gotta wait until lag comes into the picture before I decide how much I do like it.

The new puck physics I don't think will be included with the 360 version which means most if not all the skating may not be in it. Guess we will find out after someone buys 15 on launch day.

 

When 15 for the One goes on sale for 30 bucks I'll buy it, it's clearly a decent game. However, the lack of online pay affects me buying it, as I'm not paying 60 bucks for a half complete game.

If the 360 version is anything like the One I'd support a switch over, but I'm 99.9% sure it won't even be close.

 

The demo is always extremely different from the actual game. All the sliders are out of wack to accommodate the short periods and so people don't end up with 0-0 games.

The auto dekes drive me nuts, but I can get used to it. The backhand, like many have said in this thread, should be tuned down. It's a shame that eashl won't be in 15 cuz the physics actually don't seem like dog shit. Of course, all of this could change when you get online and lag like a bitch, get straight-lined and snap your disc in two.
