Congrats to the Calder Cup Champs Abbotsford Heat

You guys played amazing all series and when we went up 3-1 I thought that was it. You guys fought back and tied the series and beat us in a huge game 7. You guys were the scariest team in the playoffs and we played you close. Congrats on the Calder Cup. If we had to lose it to anybody we are glad it is to you. Have fun boys and see you next season.

On side note, I couldn't be prouder of the guys on my team. We battled this entire season and came out to be one of the best. Thank you to everyone on the team for sticking it out with me the entire season. We fell a little short but this is the only beginning for you guys. We will all be back to fight another day. This is my last season as management and it has been one of the most fulfilling season in my career. I will be stepping away from AHL management. I wish everyone luck next season. And once again:

Great series boys you guys definitely represented your conference well. Fitting that it ended in game 7 by a one goal difference.

 

First of all, I would like to congratulate the Providence Bruins for being an amazing opponent. I have nothing but respect for both Zeno and Couture and the team that they put together. To all of Providence, best of luck in the future.


This team was nine months in the making. @Kbsmith37 deserves absolutely nothing but praise. Through all the criticism I gave him, he stuck to his guns and built a fantastic team. On behalf of Abbotsford, I would like to thank him for all the emotional and mental abuse over the past nine months. I feel it not only made me a better player, but a better person as well.

Congrats on the win Heat, and well played by Providence. Both teams have been nothing but great since the start and showed they deserved it by not only making the Finals, but coming down to a game 7 at that, especially Abbotsford after going down 3-1. 2 great GMs and great teams that definitely deserved a shot at the Calder.

Zeno, you've done great things as a GM in VHL and LG, it'll be sad to see you become a regular player. You were one of the AHLs best and brightest.
